WHAT I OFFER
I provide French and English lessons for all levels and domains,whether business, academic, social, or simply for the joy of learning a rich and fascinating language. I can help you develop your reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills in both French and English. From grammar and syntax to vocabulary enrichment, I use a personalized, pedagogical approach based on your individual needs and shared learning goals we define together.

MY EXPERIENCE
As a native French speaker, I know the beauty and poetry of the language inside and out, and I’m excited to share it with anyone curious to dive in. Since high school, I’ve offered private tutoring to students aged 10 to 17, helping them with everything from grammar worksheets and book reviews to philosophy essays and creative writing assignments.

As for English, I was raised in an international school environment where English was a core part of my education from childhood through high school. I earned my TOEFL certificate before beginning my current bachelor’s studies, which are entirely in English. I've also taught English with a focus on pronunciation, grammar, syntax, and practical communication skills.

TUTORING SET-UP
When tutoring, I place strong emphasis on tracking progress, often by assigning homework (if agreed upon) and creating clear, structured plans to help students stay on track. I’m always flexible and happy to adapt to each learner’s feedback and preferences to make lessons as enjoyable and engaging as possible.

I offer lessons online or in person—either at my place or yours. Thanks to my bilingual upbringing (with a German mother) and my French-German high school diploma (AbiBac), I can also provide instruction in German if needed.

I have experience tutoring French, to children and young adults. I am a dedicated tutor who is constantly trying to understand how to best tailor my teaching technique to the individual needs of the student. I assign homework after lessons that is specifically targeted to the skills.

High school biology and economics were my favorite IB subjects, and I would be confident to explain the concepts to high school students. I have already tutored younger students when I was in school.

I speak French and English fluently and used to do after school tutoring of various school subjects for children and teenagers. Learning languages can be a fun and interesting experience that will always be useful, and that's something that I want to share. I adapt my teaching style to different people's needs so we'd discuss that during the 1st lesson. We don't have to limit ourselves to languages either, I'm happy to help out with homework if you/your child has difficulties at school, so we can also do maths (to a relatively basic level), history-geography, etc.

Many people, over time, lose the ability to converse in a second language after being unable to practice for a long time. This also makes them embarassed to take that first step to talk to people who know the language.

By having a space where people can talk with no judgement and encouraging their participation, my lessons allow students to gain confidence and improve their skills in a comfortable environment, discussing topics that they find interesting.

I give personalized lessons to help you reach the level you are looking for. My lessons are based on interaction. They are also structured so that you quickly learn the basics of the French language and that you can communicate and make yourself understood in any situation after just a few lessons. My courses will be tailored to your needs.
For the little ones, I give fun lessons through games, songs and communication. My goal is for my lessons to be a good time for you and not a chore, I want my students to learn with pleasure, joy and good humor. With me, you will learn at your own pace, because the objective is to go far, not fast.

I have been a teacher for over 12 years. I have taught English and Spanish to teenagers and adults of different levels in both face-to-face and online classes, but mostly I've taught in language institutes.

I like teaching English and Spanish not only because I have always been passionate about learning languages, but also because I often make my students smile, laugh and feel comfortable in class.

Your needs, goals, motivation and interests are my priority. I have experience teaching business and general English so students can have a wider vocabulary. I also have experience in Human Resources, hiring people, so I can help you be prepared for job interviews.

I love to talk and ask questions and I encourage my students to do the same so they can work on their communicative skills. I've achieved to improve my students confidence and fluency by using English in different real life situations.

I provide tutoring and homework support for English. This does not only concern English grammar, spelling and vocabulary, but also reading comprehension, literature and translation theories.

In my lessons I focus entirely on what you need help with. For example, if you would like extra explanation about things you run into, or would like guidance with homework or when preparing a paper, a book summary or a speaking assignment, I would be happy to help you with that!

I keep the classes flexible. For example, these can always be canceled and they do not have to be scheduled with much time in advance. I want to keep my relationship with the student and parents personal, as I am only a student myself.

I can teach at the student's home or online via webcam. I don't have my study schedule yet, so we will agree the class hours privately. My name is Barbara, a student at Maastricht University and an English teacher. Our classes will be very diverse. As I am Polish and I study international law at Maastricht University, I will only teach in English. I will be using many different teaching methods; from reading some english stories, watching english short films to directing live scenes with me. I have some experience tutoring small children in Poland. Since I attended the IB (international baccalaureate) program in high school and I now study in English, I have sufficient English skills for the lessons. Sorry for the probably multiple errors in this Dutch description, I was translating the English version.

I am a Native English speaker from the United States, studying in Maastricht from January 2023- July 2023. I have taught English to International Teaching Assistants at the University of Southern California and assisted with English classes in South America. I am open to all levels of English speakers.... I would love to do language exchange classes (ex. practice English/Dutch). I am an intermediate-advanced Spanish speaker as well if there are Spanish-speaking students looking to learn/exchange English as well!

I offer private classes to elementary school children who speak Spanish as their first language or are trying to learn Spanish. I can also help with math, although I don't speak Dutch. I am studying my first international baccalaureate in Maastricht and I am from Spain. It is not my first experience giving private classes, since last year I also did it. The schedule is flexible.
