My English classes and Creative Writing classes are suitable for all types of learners including children and adults. My English lessons consist of learning fundamental speaking and writing skills which you could use in everyday life, school, business and the workplace. I also have fun creative writing lessons where I teach my students the different methods and techniques that will help them stand out from other writers which they can use to effectively write their dream fiction and non-fiction stories, poetry and articles. I also teach my students how to eventually publish their finished writing.

My classes are structured in a way that benefits everyone including those with learning difficulties such as dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD and so on. Any special learning requirements you have my lessons will be structured in a way that fully supports you.

I have a CELTA certificate (Certificate in Teaching English to Adults) and an MA in English Literature completed at Kingston University London. I also have an MA in Multilingual Communications from the ‘Université Libre de Bruxelles’ in Brussels and a BA in Modern Languages (English/Spanish).

I have been working as a teaching assistant and as a teacher of English and French as foreign languages since 2010 in various schools in both Luxembourg and London. Teaching and studying languages in different countries has given me an opportunity to discover a range of different learning and teaching environments.

I have studied and speak 5 foreign languages fluently, and therefore understand what it takes to learn a foreign language.I love teaching. I am reliable and I always do my best to to meet the needs of the students I work with.

I speak German and Romanian fluently in addition to English, as well as conversational Chinese and Spanish, which may make it easier for some. I tailor the class to suit the individual; after a first session I can assess the student's goal (ie. conversational, business, written, etc. level of English) and create a program to suit this.

Whatever your background or profession, deciding to learn a foreign language is a great way to add another dimension to your life and make your mind work in a new way. You become a (slightly) different person, since along with a new language, one learns to look at the world in a slightly different way. This is why my approach to teaching English is not only aimed at laying or strengthening the foundational knowledge - grammar, speaking, writing and listening skills, but also at introducing students to the culture of the English-speaking population. We will find out what English speakers find funny, what drives them to tears, what makes them feel proud and what they get embarrassed about.

Open to students of all levels, my course usually is taught online, using a variety of visual aids and a wide range of material, from textbooks to YouTube videos. In teaching advanced learners, I often refer to pieces of literature such as novels and poems, since they easily spark discussions, which in turn improves the students' grasp and feel of the language. In doing so, I take students beyond ordinary textbooks and grammar books, since they are no more than guides to learning, not absolute authorities, and because to me language is a living, constantly evolving matter, which you must submerge yourself into in order to understand.

In addition to my unorthodox approach, what sets me apart is a collection of unique, language-related experiences, which translate into a good ability to understand nuances of the English language. A native Russian speaker, I have lived in the UK for over 5 years, went to a Scottish boarding school and have even completed a university degree in English.
