Hello!

My name is Laura. After having finished my master's in cello music performance in Utrecht (HKU), I am focusing my activity on teaching. This is my passion and I would like to invite you to discover this amazing art with me.
Neither your age nor your level will be a problem, everyone is welcome!. I have been teaching for more than 10 years. Your lessons will be totally customized for you, according to your desires and your goals.
One of my favorite things about teaching is the opportunity of being creative when I share my knowledge. Every person has not only a unique body, but also diverse skills and needs, and so the way of learning.

Présentation

Learning a new instrument is never easy. It involves a lot of motivation, patience and practice from both the student's and the teacher's side. I enjoy working with every single student, but specially with kids. Perhaps because I come from family with many children, so I am quite familiarized with them.
I was never very fast regarding the cello learning and I have always needed to think and to try in many ways before reaching my goals. So, I guess that what before it was a dissadvantage, now it helps me to be in my students shoes and also to help them better.
What I love the most about teaching is to see how one student makes progress and we reach our goals together. A success from one student is my best reward.

-Bachelor of music in Conservatorio Profesional de Música de Vigo
-I combined my studies with teaching and also orchestral projects with different orchestras

Dear violin lovers! I'm a violin teacher for 10 years now, I have been teaching in Portugal and the Netherlands. My lessons can be given in English, Portuguese, French or Spanish.

Playing the violin is my passion, especially when I can pass on my knowledge and love for music to my students of all ages and levels.

I work as a team with you, finding the right method that fit your needs. What is important for me is to work on a good connection with the instrument and find the right basis for the start of your violin playing.
In my violin lessons, I would like also to share with you my musical knowledge, show you recordings of great violin players, prepare with you pieces that you always wanted to play and give you the tools so you can achieve your goals in music. I like to share the general knowledge of violin playing as well as basic and intermediate music theory lessons so you can enter in the world of music, but especially to have fun!!

My lessons can be shared between violin and theory together depending on what you are looking for.

The lessons will be at my house if you are in need of an instrument we can find one for you!

I did my Bachelor at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with the teachers Maria Milstein and Eliot Lawson and completed my Masters in Performance degree with excellency as well in Amsterdam under the guidance of Liviu Prunaru and Mathieu van Bellen while studying baroque violin with Shunske Sato.

I have my own violin class in Amsterdam, and I love teaching.

Cello lessons for all levels!
You have probably heard cello in classical music, in baroque music, in contemporary music, but also in pop, electronic and folk music. Cello is one of the most versatile instruments, and wherever your interest lies, I would love to accompany you down that road. There are so many ways to learn a new instrument, let's discover that together!

I am also currently a teacher at Leerorkest in Amsterdam.
