I have some teaching experience as in Poland I used to teach Math and English to children from primary and secondary schools. I am very patient and I can explain even the most complicated things to all students. I am always prepared for lessons and I try to make them as entertaining as possible. I believe that everyone can learn them without any special talent, just good work and precise guidelines can make everyone a master at it.

Struggling with Probability and Statistics? I have been there as a student/tutor and I can give you some guidelines and tricks to overcome it and hopefully to even enjoy it. I am Industrial Engineer and Industrial Engineer, and I did my MSc in the IHE Institute for Water Education in Delft. Besides research, I have had experience as a tutor in my former University and also with High School students.

I am passionate about teaching and my pedagogic focus is significative learning. That is to go beyond formulas and try to understand clearly and consciously the purpose of a particular topic. In a typical lesson we will start with basic concepts, then we will illustrate them with few examples, to later move to practical exercises (learn by doing) with increasing difficulty.

During the math class, various topics can be discussed such as algebra and statistics. To prepare myself well, I ask a few days before the lesson if the student would like to forward the chapters to me before the lesson so that I can study them. We then schedule a lesson where I will explain the most difficult issues in the chapter.

I have tutored both face-to-face and via webcam in the past. I am okay with both methods although I think it is much easier to help out during a live session, therefore I'm okay with moving in the the Hague/Rotterdam zone.

After graduating from a United World College, I move to The Hague to study at Leiden University, where I obtained a BA in International Law (summa cum laude).

I started tutoring at 14, but only began doing it regularly four years later at the IB level. My professional experience has also included college-level student assistantships. My approach to learning is influenced by my own diverse background. I have studied under different systems in the Mexico, the Netherlands and France, which allowed me to experiment with various learning methods and discover what works and what doesn't. When it comes to the IB, I especially understand how to structure written assignments (including IAs, TOK essay and the EE) and have several tips to achieve the highest results.

After completing my chemistry studies, I worked for 13 years in the pharmaceutical industry in Cuba where I obtained my master's degree in chemical analysis and organic synthesis. At the time, I was tutoring high school students preparing for final exams in chemistry and math. I also supervised high school students for their chemistry thesis.
