As a medical and law student I have had a lot of experience in different fields. I can use this to contribute to the development of young children to beginning students. The lessons will be informative, creative and educational with a fun twist.

I am a former Global Law student who has passed each course and received an 8 or above in the below subjects. I am also open to tutoring for subjects not included in the list. Students can come to me with their assignments/syllabus and readings for help. I tailor classes toward helping students pass their exams/assignments in the following subjects: Contract law I Contract Law II Public International Law Strategy and Organisations for Lawyers Corporate/business law Accounting and Finance for Lawyers Methods and Techniques of Legal Research Perspectives on Law World Legal Systems Property Law

In this class where I will share my 29 year experiences, we can talk about everything you want to know about music. I have been a professional flute player since 1996. The composition and conducting training that I started in 1999 enabled me to gain experience in piano. I learned bass guitar and ukulele completely on stage. I have played instruments in many genres (rock, pop, jazz) professionally for years. I teach piano with a book I wrote myself. With this book I wrote especially for children, children learn to read notes and play the piano with solid foundations. I have prepared more than 300 students for the ABRSM flute and piano exams. We have done good work with hundreds of students over the years. You can be one of them. Also, maybe you can help me learn Dutch. We can exchange Dutch education in exchange for music education.

Ik geef pianoles zoals ik het zelf altijd het fijnst vond: met een heldere basis, maar vooral ook met ruimte voor muziek waar je blij van wordt. Mijn lessen zijn opgebouwd rondom de lesmethode Alfred’s Basic Piano Library – een toegankelijke en logische leerlijn voor beginnende pianisten. Tegelijkertijd kies je al vrij snel een stuk dat jíj mooi vindt. Iets dat misschien net wat moeilijker is dan je niveau, maar waar we samen stap voor stap naartoe werken. Dat maakt het oefenen niet alleen leuker, maar ook motiverend: je hoort iets terug dat je herkent en waar je naartoe leeft, in plaats van alleen maar theorie en technische oefening. Juist in het begin, als piano spelen nog vaak meer moeite kost dan het meteen mooi klinkt, helpt het enorm om muziek te spelen waar je écht iets mee hebt. En dat is precies de balans die ik in mijn lessen zoek: een goede opbouw met ruimte voor persoonlijke smaak en speelplezier.

Hey! My name is Daan and I am a keyboard player, producer and songwriter and I am happy to teach piano at your home in Amsterdam. I graduated from the Conservatory of Amsterdam pop department and am also very active in bands (as a keyboardist, singer, guitarist, bassist and drummer) and as a producer/songwriter in various genres. As a teacher, I am mainly concerned with what the student wants to achieve and what can be gotten out of the student. The great thing about music is that you can learn and perform it at all kinds of levels. My job is to find the right level for the right student, so that progress can be made at the same time as there is fun during the lessons. In addition, I find it important that my students not only play the piano, but also understand the music and build up a knowledge of the music theory behind the pieces.
