Diplômé d’un Master de clarinette du Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles, d’un Master Didactique de clarinette et d'un master didactique de formation musicale au Conservatoire Royal de Mons, je me propose de vous donner des cours tous niveaux de clarinette et/ou de formation musicale. Je propose également des cours de piano à des élèves débutants.
Je suis disponible tous les jours et me déplace à votre domicile selon votre convenance.
En fonction du niveau et de l’âge des élèves, la durée de mes cours varient entre 30 minutes, 1 heure et 1 heure 30 minutes.

I am a professional clarinetist graduated with distinction at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussels (Master Degree in Clarinet) and holding a Bachelor Diploma from the Music Conservatory of Valencia (Spain). Currently I am studying for a Master's Degree in Bass Clarinet, so we can combine both instruments in my lessons.

I teach students of all ages and levels. In my lessons I help the students to find a good contact with the instrument and cultivate a positive relationship with music by integrating the development of aural skills, sense of rhythm and an optimal body use, enabling them to connect with their musical imagination. The lessons are adapted to each student's needs and wishes.

On top of playing, I can also offer lessons on harmony, form analysis and counterpoint that focus on understanding the structure of music. My lessons will already include many different aspects of the music being taught but there is the option of focusing the theoretical or the practical.

SPECIALISED IN TEACHING ADULTS.
Would you like to learn one of the instruments which have more style possibilities? Would you like to know why many composers say that is a very powerful instrument because it fits in may situations? Did you know that in the Klezmer history clarinet substituted the violin for projection reasons but also because perfectly able to imitate the human voice, crying or laughing? Would you like to discover the fascinating world of clarinet?

One of my priorities as a musician is the sound. I believe that with a beautiful and personal sound you are able at every level to transmit emotion and meaning, it doesn’t matter the difficulty or the level. So I try to focus first on awareness of what’s beautiful for the student and what’s not. Then through technique and repertoire (suggestions of the student or suggestions of mine that can help to grow the student curiosity), we develop the student knowledge.

Always helping the student to understand -depending on his/her the theoretical level- what we are doing, putting together music and theory. And giving tools to expand the border, at all levels. I have knowledge and experience in Jazz, Classical, Klezmer, Choro Music and Improvisation.
You just need a precious element!

• Music Theory
I focus on having a good basics, spending as much as we need to understand every single thing, because then with times it becomes more easy. I try to help the student simplifying the material because then, we only with ourselves with a good procedure of the basics to solve any problem. Only with one lesson, you will understand what I mean.

I have experience in preparing students for exams, the ones for the semester as well as any official exam; doesn't matter if you have an intermediate theory level and you want to improve, or if you would like to be stronger solidifying the knowledge you have (which is always the best option), or if you don’t know anything about notes and music concepts and you would like to be familiar with them. Maybe you are an adult who always wanted to improvise but doesn’t know where to start...?
The only thing you need is a good organization -which I can provide- to reach any goal!

Voor het aanleren van de basis raad ik u aan om een klarinetleraar te zoeken die jou in een academie of privé kan begeleiden. Zodra je de basis onder knie hebt, of een opleiding hebt afgewerkt wil ik jou graag verder begeleiden bij de interpretatie van repertoire, of kan je terecht met vragen over toonvorming, staccato, ademhalingsproblemen noem maar op....

J'ai suivi une formation classique durant 13ans en clarinette et en chant lyrique pendant 5ans. J'ai récemment fini une formation de 5ans au conservatoire de Paris en tant que chanteuse en Musiques actuelles et je suis désormais diplomée de cette formation (jazz, soul, rnb, metal, rock, comédie musicale, chanson française...). Cette année je suis rentrée en Master de Musique et performance à Londres.
Je me déplace sans problème et suis à l'écoute de la demande de morceaux à travailler.

Do you want to have fun learning how to play the most beautiful instrument in the world or improve your skills with it? I'd be delighted to do it with you! I'm a classical clarinetist, I have two masters (recently graduated at Codarts) and different experience in orchestra, chamber music and teaching! My goal as a teacher is to stimulate the student to study in order to be at the disposal of music and not a passive player as can happen many times when you undertake a new study. That is why I like to play with my students and organize little private concerts and try-out.
Concerning the music theory lessons, I am not going to bore you with long and incomprehensible explanations! We will study it in a fun and effective way! I've been studying music since I'm five years old and I started with the Kodaly method that made me approach music in a very natural way! I hope to see you soon!

Bonjour,

Je suis clarinettiste et saxophoniste pro, de formation classique (DEM) et jazz (DEM).

J'ai joué pendant 12 ans dans CARAVAN PALACE.

Je donne des cours sur Montpellier et à 30 minutes alentours , lorsque je ne suis pas en concert avec mes groupes de jazz swing et de choro.

Tous styles.
Classique , Jazz , klezmer. Mes styles de prédilection en ce moment sont le jazz manouche et le choro (musique bresilienne).

Je donne des cours depuis plus de 20 ans, aussi bien aux débutants qu'aux confirmés, petits et grands, voir très grands !!

Je personnifie l'étude de l'instrument et enseigne le solfège et l'harmonie en complément .

C'est avant tout l'élève qui décide de ses besoins.

La passion pour la musique,la persévérence et le temps (dans tous les sens du terme) sont des piliers dans l'apprentissage musical.

Klarinetlessen op alle niveaus: van absolute beginners tot vergevorderde spelers.
Voor mij als docent is het heel belangrijk te vertrekken vanuit de wensen, noden en competenties van de leerling zelf.
U kan les volgen via webcam, of bij u thuis in de buurt van regio Gent - Kortrijk.
Indien uzelf geen instrument ter beschikking heeft is er mogelijkheid tot het huren van een instrument van mij. Dit aanbod is echter beperkt, dus gelieve hierover verder informeren bij interesse.
Betreffende muziek en en ander materiaal: dat wordt meegenomen door mij.

Tegenwoordig - na het doorlopen van een uitgebreide selectieprocedure - is Laurens professioneel actief als klarinettist bij de Koninklijke Muziekkapel van de Marine, één van de prestigieuze orkesten van het Belgisch leger.

Naast zijn opleiding in aan het Koninkijk conservatorium Gent heeft Laurens al verscheidene keren de kans genoten om bij te leren in een aantal masterclasses van o.a. Arno Piters (Koninklijk Concertgebouworkest), Davide Lattuada (Koninklijk Concergebouworkest), Bart de Karter (Nieuw Amsterdams KlarinetKwartet), Pascal Moragues (Orchestre de Paris), Ricardo Mataredonna (De Muntschouwburg), David Van Maele (Koninklijke Muziekkapel van de Gidsen), Bart Watté (Koninklijke Muziekkapel van de Gidsen) etc.

Zowel als freelancer als actief lid heeft Laurens al mee kunnen spelen in diverse orkesten, zoals de Koninklijke Muziekkapel van de Belgische Luchtmacht, Frascati Symphonic, het Euregio Jeugdorkest, het Mahler Student Festival Orchestra, La Chapelle Sauvage, Symfonieorkest Vlaanderen Young, het Gents Universitair Symfonieorkest, het Gents Universitair Harmonieorkest...

Sinds 2021 is Laurens lid van het Meraki Wind Quintet, waarmee hij reeds succesvol kon mee doen aan een aantal competities, waaronder het IMC International Music Competition 2023 (1er Prix à l'unanimité), de Euterpe Music Awards 2022 (gouden prijs), de Classic Pure Vienna International Music Competition 2022 (speciale vermelding), en de Fanny Mendelssohn International Online Competition 2022/23 (tweede prijs).

Hiernaast is Laurens ook actief als dirigent en dit zowel in een symfonische als harmonische orkestbezetting. Hij volgt directielessen bij Kristiina Posska (chef-dirigent Symfonieorkest Vlaanderen), Bart Picqueur (componist en dirigent) en Dimitri Bracke (dirigent) en is zelf actief als vaste dirigent bij de Fantasietjes in de Muziekvereniging Bellegem en freelance bij diverse andere verenigingen.

J'enseigne le Saxophone et la flûte traversière depuis environ 30 ans. J'ai étudié à Paris est à New York avec les plus grands saxophonistes et le grand maître Barry Harris. J'ai pu au fil du temps de développer une méthode agréable et efficace. Je suis aussi professeur de technique Alexander, un outil très efficace pour apprendre à jouer avec le minimum d'efforts.
Je donne des cours pour tous les niveaux et tous les styles bien que je sois spécialisé dans l'enseignement de l'improvisation jazz.

Ik kan met je oefenen bij je lessen, tips geven bij het instuderen en spelen, je hebt een extra oefen- en speelmoment, ik kan tijd nemen om te werken aan ademhaling en klank, om met je te werken aan toonladders en technische oefeningen, het uitzoeken van rietjes voor beginners, repertoire, ...
Door deze extra oefenmomenten ga je sneller vooruit tijdens je les van een professionele klarinetleraar.
