About Me

I believe that every individual has their own unique way of learning, and it is my role as a teacher to adapt my methods and techniques accordingly. I promote a collaborative and experimental learning environment, where students can nurture their artistic personality and expressive abilities. I prioritize ensuring that my students find joy in learning and have the freedom to pursue their own interests and passions.

Education

I completed my MA in Classical Voice Performance at the Hochschule der Musik Basel.

My journey in vocal training began at the age of 8 at the Cathedral Choir School in Utrecht. I pursued Classical Voice studies in Amsterdam from 2016 to 2018, and in 2021, I commenced my studies at the Hochschule für Musik Basel under the guidance of baritone Marcel Boone.

I have showcased my skills as a soloist in various Passion concerts, Bach cantata services, and collaborated with different ensembles for performances such as Orff's Carmina Burana, Handel's Dixit Dominus, Bach's Mass in B Minor, and Vivaldi's Gloria. Additionally, I took part in an opera production of Rossini's La Cenerentola. I am also an enthusiastic choir singer, having been a member of the Dutch Student National Chamber Choir and the World Youth Choir for several years.

Experience / Qualifications

I have years of experience teaching singing. In my vocal lessons, I have worked with students of all age groups, helping them improve their vocal abilities and develop their musical expressiveness. I have also taught in other subjects such as mathematics and English, where I assisted students in deepening their understanding of concepts and enhancing their skills in these subjects.

Through my experience in teaching various subjects, I've learned the importance of considering the individual needs and learning styles of each student, adapting my teaching methods accordingly. I believe that successful teaching is built on mutual respect, trust, and understanding, and I strive to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where every student can get the most out of my lessons.

I am a classical singer (mezzosoprano) from Barcelona. I started my musical studies playing the violin and the viola. I was singing in choirs from I was 5, and there my love for singing started. I studied my bachelor degree in The Neteherlands with the teacher Hanneke de Witt, I have a double degree: performence and pedagogy. Now I am going to do my master with Marcel Bonne.
My main goal when I teach is to help the student to find the freedom on the vocal, physical and mental expression. I like to work on music but also on tecninc. I think it is a very important part to find the freedom. I ike to create a lovely space when I teach where the student can find the support and the freedom to try out different things. I have a lot of patience, as a singer you need to be patient and to try again and again.
I love to help the students to find their way to teach themselves so they don't need that much lessons in the futur.

Learning to sing is a process that comes from within; a story that makes you take the step to improve yourself; to find a way to discover what you believe is best for you and your voice.
