As a native spanish/german, I have been tutoring both for the last five years, helping mostly students to get a basic/high level. My goal is to keep students challenged and motivated, providing insights regarding vocabulary, grammar, reading, writing and speaking.
I am flexible and easy going, to make the study of your language as enjoyable as possible.

Mijn naam is Patricia Vila en ik ben de eigenaar van Habla Spaans. Ik ben geboren en opgegroeid in Cusco, Peru. Ik heb 2 kinderen en woon in Bilzen, Belgie, vlakbij Maastricht en Hasselt. In Peru heb ik sinds 2001 ervaring als Spaanse lerares, en heb vanaf 2003 een eigen talenschool in Cusco Peru. Ik heb ervaring met verschillende niveaus van beginner tot vergevorderd, met studenten van verschiilende nationaliteiten, merendeel Belgisch, Nederlands, Duits, Noord-Amerikaans en Australisch.

I have a lot of working experience during many years giving courses of the Spanish language at schools, institutions, online and private with students of all ages. After all that years with success and good reviews, I decided last year to start the study for examiner of the Spanish language, and since a few months I also have now my official license to be examiner.
Good communication is important for a teacher and I mostly only speak Spanish to my students, even in the beginning. Only when I notice that a student really doesn’t understand where I am talking about, I switch to the local language for a moment.

I have been a teacher for over 12 years. I have taught English and Spanish to teenagers and adults of different levels in both face-to-face and online classes, but mostly I've taught in language institutes.

¡Hola! ¿Qué tal?

I give tutoring and homework support for the Spanish subject. I can help you with your homework or with things you run into. This applies to all areas of the subject, including, for example, grammar, vocabulary or everyday conversation elements.

In the tutoring I first determine the level of the student and based on that I see in which areas the student needs help. I provide that help by offering written assignments and oral interactions. Sometimes I do a quiz to determine the student's progress.

I keep the classes flexible. For example, these can always be canceled and they do not have to be scheduled with much time in advance. I want to keep my relationship with the student and parents personal, as I am only a student myself.

I can teach at the student's home or online via webcam. I still have my own study plan, so we will arrange the hours privately. My name is Barbara, a student at Maastricht University and a Spanish teacher. Our classes will be very diverse. Being Polish and studying international law at Maastricht University, I only teach in Spanish and possibly in English (I don't speak Dutch). I will be using many different teaching methods; from reading english stories, watching english movies to playing short scenes with me. I have some experience in guiding young children in Poland. I learn Spanish from an early age, I often go to Spain, which also gives me knowledge about the culture of the country. This year I obtained the DELE B2 certificate. German is the native language of around 100 million people worldwide. Spoken in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and parts of Belgium, and understood by citizens of many other nationalities, it is a valuable language to learn and know in Europe. And do not be fooled by the stereotypical representations of the German language and German speakers in the media! On the contrary, it can be quite graceful.
