As a professional saxophonist with experience playing various different styles of music, I am able to accommodate for students individual interests. With a degree in Jazz Saxophone from Leeds Conservatoire, I have high technical ability and a in depth knowledge of Jazz music theory. This is supported by my gigging portfolio that has seen me perform on tour across Europe, as well as many UK festivals, and on stages with bands such as Madness and The Blockheads.

I tailor lessons to individuals, to help aid development and generate a strong passion for one's music. Music is subjective so I find it key for learning to be student led so as to keep sustained interest and generate a positive development cycle.

About Me

I am a self employed saxophonist with a large performance portfolio, over 250 gigs in the last two years. My lessons are individually tailored to suit your needs. From personal experience, music is subjective so I wish to enhance your learning experience by giving you the tools you need to pursue whatever music you love.

Education

I studied Jazz Saxophone at Leeds Conservatoire rom 2021-2024. This has not only given me a strong understanding saxophone technique and playing, but also a more wholistic music education.

Friendly and approachable tutor with over 20 years of teaching experience in private lessons, music schools and online.

This experience is the result of years and years of studying under great guitar teachers, both in electric and classical guitar. Participating in various bands and music ensembles definitely added valuable experience, knowledge and understanding of the instrument, that goes beyond the academic way. However, what makes a great tutor is the ability to transfer all this accumulated knowledge to his students, and I'm proud to say that most, if not all, of my students thrive.

My main goal is for my students to learn the fundamentals so they continue to advance even without lessons. That said, I believe it's always beneficial to have an experienced tutor to help you navigate through the wonders of music. Every lesson is tailored to the requirements of each individual student, making every session a unique experience. Over the years I have developed a method that helps my students understand and apply even the hardest parts of guitar practice and music theory.

As a tutor, I follow the approach and teaching material of Berklee, Musicians Institute and London College of Music. However, I can adapt to any other teaching material/music exams board if requested.
