I have the title of Superior of Violin, having studied it at the Royal Superior Conservatory of Madrid (RCSMM), and I finished the Professional Degree of Violin and Viola at the Professional Conservatory of Music of Alcalá de Henares, both with a final degree award.
I am a member with Violin and Viola of the Young National Orchestra of Spain (JONDE), the Young Orchestra of the Community of Madrid (JORCAM) and the Young Orchestra of Aragón (JOA), in addition to being the concertmaster of the Orchestra and Chamber Choir Sonora (OCC Sonora).

If you still do not have an instrument for the first class, no problem, since I have several violins of all sizes (1/4, 2/4, 3/4 and 4/4)
This way you will have a little more time to choose the instrument that best suits your ambitions.
I recommend having a notebook of staves (the typical music one) to be able to write the theory things that we see.
Classes can be at my home, at the student's home (supplement for travel with respect to the price they would have at my address, although it may be higher depending on the distance from the home) and online through the platform that the student wishes.

About Me

Hi prospective student,

My name is Carlos and I am a violinist / violist with 20 years of experience playing and more than 10 teaching at music academies, schools and as a private teacher (in-person and online).

I finished my Bachelor studies at the Royal Conservatoire of Music of Madrid (RCSMM) in Spain and I am currently enrolled in the last semester of the master's degree in Germany.

While studying I had the great opportunity to take part in various educational projects, such as il Violinatti, which increased my interest in teaching.

A point to highlight is that being an active musician in orchestras and chamber groups helps me to become better, either when making music or when teaching it.

As mentioned above, I have been teaching since 2015, starting as a private teacher and then being hired in 2017 by schools and music academies, which was a great opportunity to continue growing and gaining experience.

I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. This course is designed to build skills in either playing the cello, music theory, ear training, or all three! If you are seeking to learn cello this course is a great place to start. I am most familiar with the suzuki books, however I am dedicated to making cello and music as widely available as I can, so if access to sheet music is a challenge I am open to pursuing alternate lesson plans.
If you are a current music student who isn't seeking to learn cello but would like support in Music Theory or Aural Skills (also often referred to as Ear Training), I am more than happy to provide tutoring in those subjects.
