This class combines practical art skills with inspiring art history and cultural storytelling. Students will learn essential creative techniques including drawing in an imaginary way the human body and face, colour theory, and expressive mark making. Alongside technical training, we will explore influential artists and artistic movements, with a focus on themes such as legacy, identity, Balkan history, post-Soviet and dissident art traditions. This course encourages students to develop both their technical confidence and their personal artistic voice. Participants will create their own artwork while learning how history, culture, and storytelling shape artistic expression. Suitable for beginners and intermediate students who want to develop strong foundations while exploring deeper artistic meaning.
