A little about myself and my background:
I am graduate of the Department of Mathematics of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. For the last eight years, my passion for the field that I studied and the will to share it with others, the joy to connect with, guide and evolve people, had temporarily set the potential for a career as a teacher. I found extremely rewarding to teach high-school children and provide supporting education to university students in Math, Physics and Chemistry. All my students had 100% in their exams and today they continue their education dream in the university of their choice.
Since I was offering private lessons I had the chance to bond with every single student, to build trust and inspire admiration of the subjects which led to continuous improvement and achievements. This ability and the excellent feedback of the students and their parents drew the attention of a supportive education night school that offered me a permanent role as a teacher.
From 2017, I live and work as a teacher in a Private School here in Zurich, Switzerland. I am exciting for this position, because I believe it utilizes the knowledge and technical skill set that I obtained and at the same time improve my soft skills, test my limits and provide me with valuable professional experience.
I strongly believe that the most important part of a science class is for the student to understand the reason behind and this usually can easily be succeeded with real-life examples. Every student is different and the teacher needs to adapt the class to his needs, strengths and weakness.

(*) The student will be given an evaluation test in the beginning of the class to prove his level and background. Depending on his level, given personal preparation and good collaboration with the tutor the corresponding exam success is guaranteed.

Problems in mathematics or in the English school subject? No problem! I'm Miriam, a sixth year high school student. I've always been passionate about both math and the English language! Since I don't have much to do at the moment, I thought I'd get in touch with all students from 1st to 8th grade. Class to help.

As a high school teacher with a Master's degree in mathematics and 11 years of experience in face-to-face and online teaching, I offer qualified and competent private lessons for all levels, ranging from high school TC-SC 1Bac Sc-SM to Bac PC-SM, through middle school and classes of 2nd and 1st general Terminale specialty of the French system, as well as for levels 5th, 4th and 3rd of middle school, and preparation for the baccalaureate and competitions .

I obtained a success rate of 100% for my final year baccalaureate students, 75% of whom obtained a good or very good mention. Some of them have joined the biggest business and engineering schools, as well as prestigious preparatory courses.

I hold a Master's degree in Operational Research (Applied Mathematics) and I have been teaching private lessons for more than three years, mainly mathematics for middle and high school levels.

✏ I have taught students from different schools, whether public, private, following the French program (mission), Belgian, Swiss, Spanish (students from French-speaking or English-speaking Spanish schools) or American. In summary, all French or English programs.

Sessions usually take place as follows:

2️⃣ Then we make a plan to fill those gaps: number of hours of work required, parts of the lessons to focus on, lots of training and development exercises, etc.

3️⃣ We make sure to stay up to date with the student's class teacher to track their progress and align our work with what is being taught in class.

4️⃣ Then I provide exams similar to what may be offered in class.

5️⃣ Upon request, I write a monthly report to keep parents informed of their child's level throughout the course.

I also adapt my methodology according to the needs of each student, which means that everyone has a personalized working method adapted to their needs!
