Hiya!
I am a PhD student at the university of Porto. I gotta be honest, I did not have the best academic qualifications as a young engineer doing my B.sc. years ago. So, studying for a M.sc. in Bologna on a scholarship was a dream come true. I had to work very hard just to be on the acceptable levels. But things change for the best when you realize your strengths. I learned to invest in my abilities rather than feeling sorry for my insufficiencies. I gave more space to what I was good at, instead of focusing on what was forced on me. I think the best way to learn anything is to teach it! Ironically, that is how I managed to really, objectively, slay my English exams.

Learning English with a PhD student; get ready for the essays!

Hello everyone,

I am PhD student in Porto. All my life I've been helping out and proof-reading colleagues' works, or just motivating them to be the best version of themselves. I have advised students and helped them achieve their goals, e.g., going abroad for their studies, helped them through steps of applications, publications, and so on. I have also supervised a Master's student working on his thesis at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Welcome to university students or masters and doctoral students!!! I teach the course of Natural Products Chemistry or Phytochemistry or Pharmacognosy. In this class we will learn about the methods of extracting, separating and identifying the chemical form of active chemical compounds (biologically active secondary compounds) from natural sources, such as medicinal and aromatic plants. My method: Logic before calculation
In the final year of high school, the difficulty is often not the calculation itself, but understanding the problem statement and choosing the correct theorem. My support focuses on three key areas:

Analysis: Perfect mastery of sequences, functions (logarithms, exponentials) and continuity.

Geometry in space: Visualization and vector calculation.

Probability: Understanding the laws and knowing when to apply them.
