I'm a creative, professional Canadian English teacher with over 15 years experience, here in Vancouver, in Malaga, Spain and in Japan before that. In addition, I have the CELTA (Cambridge) certificate for teaching English and experience with students of all levels and nationalities, from absolute beginner to advanced.

I'm a creative, professional English language teacher from Canada. I always try to approach a class with sensitivity to the student's needs and goals. While skilled at explaining grammar and vocabulary, I have an aptitude for facilitating conversation and, above all, making sure lessons are enjoyable for students.
I have extensive experience in teaching all levels of classes, students of all ages and preparatory classes for a variety of different exams (Cambridge, TOEFL, TOEIC, etc.).
I have travelled and lived in different countries, with different languages and cultures, so my classes are customised to complement students from various backgrounds and cultures. Specifically, I lived in Japan for 3 years and in Spain for 11, and besides having travelled extensively in Spain and Japan, I have been to Thailand, S Korea, Bali, Laos, Mexico, France, Portugal, Italy, Belgium, The Netherlands, Austria, Germany, Hungary, Denmark, Sweden, Scotland and England.
My native language is English, but I also speak Hungarian and Spanish with an understanding of French (my speaking needs practice) and some Japanese and a bit of German.

Expérience / Qualifications
I have over 15 years experience teaching ESL/EFL in Canada, Japan, and Spain. I feel that I have become very flexible communicating with people from a variety of nationalities, personalities, and backgrounds. It has been a please getting to know different cultures and world views while chatting about a wide range of topics with my students. I can help anyone learn and improve their English but I do specialise in helping students with common Spanish-speaker, French-speaker and Japanese-speaker mistakes.
