I can guide your curiosity through the discovery of the various bass techniques, we can work together using the music of the artists you love to walk our way in the realm of the Low Tones.

That amazing bass riff from Muse, that lovely song from Coldplay or super cool funky Bruno Mars.

Or maybe you dream of the warm cuddly sound of the double bass, playing with the bow and feel the vibration of the Wood. Playing some Jazz, along with Miles Davis or Wayne Shorter.

With almost 20 years of experience in the low tones world I can guide you in the study of electric bass and double bass.
I'm an active performer and touring musician, as well as a master graduated Bass player. (Conservatorium van Amsterdam)

We will work together to find what best suites you.

Through the music that you love we'll find the right path to discover the world of the Bass.

Hello!

I'm Lorenzo and I'm an Electric and Double Bass player.
I graduated from the master at the Conservatory of Amsterdam and I've recorded with several artists in the Jazz and Pop scene, from Jim Van Der Zee, Janna Baerends, Daan Herweg and many other.

I'm a professional musician and I look forward to give you a hand to discover the bass, both electric or upright ;).

Cello classes are taught at all levels. It doesn't matter if you're a professional musician or not, it's about learning how the cello works and trying to improve while practicing. The main goal is to enjoy through the music. I give lessons at home but I might go to a preferred place if it's not too far.

Hey there! In my lessons, what you want is the most important. That's why we create together a plan of study with ideas, goals and subjects to reach out our dream to make music (that's also my dream)

Nevertheless, I can give you an overview of the content:

I divide the music theory in two: Technical and Musical.
Technical Theory regarding all the concepts and information related to music, and Musical Theory regarding the ideas and concepts to help us understand and improve the performance of music. Besides that, we look to harmony in a functional, rhythmical and organic way. We learn and approach music from the first lesson, looking at it from different angles (understanding rhythm and essence of a song for example). All this plus a nice diet of assignments and exercises: D

Furthermore, we put especial attention to enjoying music. That means playing but also listening music! For me, that's one of the best ways to learn :)

And of course, we learn as well by making mistakes, so at the end it's all about fun and trying things out;)

Hey there! If you have been thinking for a while about learning to play, improvise and read music scores on the piano, then this is the sign to start!

My name is Enrique and I come from Andalucía, Spain. I am a Classical Piano student at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and I would be pleased to be your teacher. It will be great to teach you how to play your favourite music on the piano, but also about its language, reading and writing, that is, the music theory, or even how to start improvising your own music.

All of this is actually interconnected and it is interesting to combine them in teaching. I adapt to any age, level or taste (you may prefer classical, jazz, pop... everything is welcome!). Lessons can be taught in English or Spanish.

In this course you will learn techniques, patterns, phrasings and drum vocabulary to be able to play whatever interests you. This course is not limited to any specific level. Whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced, this course will focus on your personal interests as a musician. We will explore the instrument from a contemporary perspective based on tradition in order to not only survive in any musical context, but also exceed expectations. We will work together to develop all aspects of a good contemporary drummer: technique, control, coordination, independence, creativity and expression. My name is Ignacio Pintó and I am a Spanish bass player living in Amsterdam. I moved to this lovely city four years ago to study the Jazz Double Bass Bachelor at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.

I am in love with music, my main occupation right now is working in projects that excite me deeply, trying to bring new sounds to the world through composition and improvisation.

I love sharing this excitement and knowledge with people. That's the reason why I have developed a flexible system to organise music development, based on my recent experience. In the lessons we will focus on the music you love and find ways to develop the skills it requires in a methodic way, always having fun in the process. We will also playfully explore creativity and improvisation, my ultimate goal is finding your voice as a musician and helping you develop it!

Although double bass is my main instrument now, my first steps as a musician were given with bass guitar. I also have experience teaching that instrument and I feel equally capable of helping you develop those skills.

You can expect an personalised program, with prepared lessons based essentially in your musical interests and goals, potentially covering these topics among others: double bass technique, bowing, electric bass technique, jazz repertoire, ear training, music theory, improv techniques, rhythm, composition, basic production skills, basic piano skills.

If interested, next to the bass lessons I could also arrange ensemble lessons connecting you with fellow musicians of similar interests and skill level.
