Hello, I have extensive experience with students of all ages as a teacher of music theory, violin and viola. Custom classes, focused on student interests.
I studied violin degree at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Vigo in Spain and viola in Spain and at the Utrechts Conservatorium. The research of my final exam was about well-being and phisical education to improve and accelerate the learning process.
I want my students to be aware of the importance of good posture and technique in order to enjoy the learning process without problems.

Are you a beginner?? No worries: no experience is required! 😁
I can teach you the basics to produce sounds with your saxophone: position of the embouchure (teeth, tongue, lips and vocal cords' position, an element often forgotten), fingerings, use of diafragma,...
After the first two lessons spent on the mouthpiece and neck for the sound production, we will immediately start to play some super easy duos together to practice your capacity of listening, pay attention to the other, ear training as well. I normally use the book of Peter Wastall (titled Learn as you play) as support, but it is not mandatory. There are plenty of good books btw!

Are you an intermediate / advanced student?? I am sure you can still improve in all the basics, but on a different level. I'll teach you the importance of the "voicing" (technique named by the american saxophonist and pedagogue Donald Sinta) to improve your sound production and projection as well as the capacity of correcting and improving the intonation. You can learn all about phrasing and music interpretation, from tonal music until contemporary atonal compositions. And still, you can improve your playing together, practicing in duo on different aspects like tuning, balance, interpretation, performance etc.

My teaching methodology focuses on creating a friendly and relaxed environment (which does not mean undemanding!) in which students feel confident to express their own ideas and worries. Hi all! My name is Anna Jane, and I am a violinist and teacher based in The Hague. My own musical journey began at age four in Florida with Suzuki training, progressed through classical studies and fiddle jams in Nashville, and culminated in baroque-specific training at The Juilliard School and the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. Throughout my years of studying and performing, teaching has been a constant and meaningful focus. Some of my teaching experience includes:
