Hi, I'm August, a musician and music producer working in a studio in Bcn. I've studied guitar, music and production extensively for 15 years and have a Bachelor’s Degree in Jazz Performance, specialising in the guitar. I'm available to teach Music and Guitar - electric or acoustic -as well as to offer production lessons in my studio, where I can help intermediate and advanced students build skills, and introduce beginners to music software, synthesisers and drum machines. I worked for two years as a music tutor at an after-school music centre, teaching guitar to primary school children - individually and in groups of up to five. I also teach music technology and production - using popular software including Ableton, Logic and Cubase - and have taught one-on-one with beginner, intermediate and advanced students. I design lessons with individual students in mind, with the aim of helping them achieve their goals - be that an exam grade or improving their skills and confidence - all in a fun environment at a comfortable pace

I'm a musician, composer and producer from the UK with more than 20 yrs teaching experience.
I give classes for guitar, bass guitar, theory, composition, arranging, mixing and production in English with intermediate Spanish.

I have my own approach to teaching drawn from my own inspirational teachers and the experience of teaching, performing and recording for over 30 years.

I adapt to the needs and goals of the student, but a typical 1st year class for guitar would involve focusing on a variety of pieces in different styles and suggestions of any helpful technical exercises, reading, rhythm playing, expanding chord/harmony knowledge and supporting theory. In time I would include new techniques as required by the piece and style and improvisation/composition to follow the student’s interest.

I have developed an accelerated program with the goal of the student playing their favourite pieces as soon as possible. My constant aim is to find the right balance between student motivation and a thorough musical grounding, equipping the student for the future.

A flamenco guitar course in private classes is an incredibly enriching experience. During these classes, I will completely focus on you and your goals as a flamenco guitarist.

We will begin by exploring the world of flamenco together: its history, its diverse styles and its unique emotions. As we progress, you will learn the essential techniques of the flamenco guitar, such as the strumming, the "picao" and the golpe, among others. My goal will be to help you master these techniques and express yourself fluently and passionately through your guitar.

In addition, we will delve into the fascinating flamenco compás, so that you can understand and play the characteristic rhythms of this genre. Me apasiona trabajar con personas interesadas en la musica e ir encontrando tu identidad ya sea vocal, en el ukelele o la guitarra. My guitar lessons are a real experience for those who study with me. What matters most to me is that my student can fulfill his desires with the guitar and music. I do not impose predetermined classes, but I leave the person free to express what he wants to learn. I am helpful in transmitting to you the skills that are right for you. About Pierpa:

Pierpaolo is a guitarist and composer born in 1995 from central Italy (Le Marche, Recanati). At the age of 12 he picked up a classical guitar for the first time (which he still owns) and since then he has not stopped playing, practicing and inventing with it. He currently lives in Barcelona (Spain) where he mainly teaches rock, jazz and flamenco. In fact, his studies range from jazz (he has 2 degrees in jazz guitar) to flamenco. In Barcelona Pierpaolo attends the ESMUC conservatory. "I am Pierpaolo, a professional guitarist with a Bachelor and Master's degree in Jazz Guitar (110 cum laude) and with experience studying other styles such as blues, rock, pop, funk, latin, fusion, flamenco. I have 10 years of experience as a teacher and have played at many festivals and events as a guitarist, in ensembles ranging from solo guitar to orchestra and big band. My passion for music always makes me have fun in classes with my guitar students. I also have experience in the recording studio as an author, composer, arranger, producer and collaborator."
