This class is aimed at teaching body awareness and control for little people. In this class we'll cover a full active warm up, getting our blood pumping, mobilising our joints, sliding into some stretches and getting our muscles ready for some acrobatics. Then we'll cover some basic positions such as front support, straddle fold, bridge and shoulder stand. Before moving onto more advanced skills such as forward roll and cartwheels.
Fundamental exercises for beginners and well rounded aerialists. We will cover exercises for healthy shoulders, streches which can translate into beautiful shapes in the air, some killer conditioning to build up our strength in the air. Classes will be tailored to an individual's level and the equipment available to them. We can progress to basic shapes and transitions when students feel safe and strong on their equipment.
Learn handstands from the comfort of your own home. We'll cover a comprehensive warm up for healthy joints and muscles. Conditioning exercises to build our shoulder and core stability. We'll practice and perfect drills to get you comfortable bearing weight whilst upside down. I'll give you prompts, cues and feedback to help you improve your alignment and learn to balance yourself. This a great complementary class to anyone who also practices: yoga, gymnastics, crossfit, climbing, circus , aerial or acroyoga.
