Iedereen leert anders en in zijn eigen tempo, dus ik pas mijn onderwijs aan aan de behoeften van mijn studenten. Versterkingslessen, uitspraak, schrijven of hulp bij algemeen begrip.

Ik heb een rijke ervaring met het lesgeven van Engels als tweede taal aan verschillende leeftijdsgroepen. Ik heb ruim twee jaar als leraar Engels in São Paulo gewerkt, waar ik les gaf aan beginners tot gevorderden (alle leeftijden).

Ik heb twee en een half jaar in Dublin gewoond en gedurende die tijd heb ik een aantal cursussen Engels gevolgd om mijn Engels te verbeteren.
Ik heb een bachelordiploma in Arts - European Studies, waarin ik ook enkele Engelse en Spaanse lessen heb gevolgd, en ik ben momenteel bezig met mijn masterdiploma in Latijns-Amerikaanse Studies.

Als onderdeel van mijn vrijwilligerswerk geef ik ook Engelse les aan studenten uit kwetsbare gemeenschappen in Brazilië (online lessen).

I am originally from Brazil (Diadema, SP) and currently I live the Hague, Netherlands. I have a rich experience teaching English as a second language to different age groups. I lived in Dublin for two and half years and during this time I took some English courses to sharpen my English.
I graduated in European Studies in June 2021 (in which I also had some English and Spanish lessons), and currently I am doing my masters in Latin America Studies.
As part of my voluntary job, I also teach English to students from vulnerable communities in Brazil.

I coordinate the Solidarity Teachers project in Brazil, and give English lessons to students from vulnerable communities in Brazil (online lessons). My teaching approach is designed to develop communication skills above all. We watch or read materials, such as videos, articles, stories, poems, caricatures, then discuss them; we act out situations from everyday life; we take positions and practice debates. However, this doesn’t mean that we just practice speaking. I also make sure the learner is not running in circles. I’m here to ensure that they do not keep repeating the same mistakes or keep using the same expressions over and over in conversation.
In order to keep making progress, I take my student on a journey that involves:
• Improving their grammar.
• Fixing their pronunciation.
• Enriching their vocabulary by learning to use new words and common idioms.
By the end of this course, you should be able to speak English fluently and confidently.

We will start our lessons by learning the most basic skills such as correct pronunciation and simple grammar rules.
We will continue to improve our speaking, listening and grammar levels by learning new informations step by step.
Based on my 13 years of experience, I think that A1 level is a very important period in language learning. When learning any language, beginner level students should learn it in the correct order and important details should be explained well by practising previous ones. Students at more advanced levels, such as A2, B1 or above, also need to practice their skills at the previous level thoroughly to improve their language skills. I try to provide good teaching by paying attention to these important points in my lessons. I keep our lessons' notes in a word file. After our lessons, I send you back all the additional notes and exercises that we covered in our lesson as a Word file.
