I am a fun, fresh and multi-lingual tutor who speaks fluent British English and Dutch. I continuously devote my time to making sure that my students have the right attention and learning materials so they succeed in their goals of learning English with me. It's not an easy task to learn a new language and I guarantee you I will give you all the time and energy needed to make your goals a reality. Whether that's practicing your grammar, preparing for an important interview/test, getting promoted at your job and needing to excel in your vocabulary/ business vocab fast, or just wanting to have fun meaningful interactive conversations to practice confidence and fluency, then I am the right Teacher for you!

Content Creation, Videography, Editing and Network

As a self taught editor, i always wished for some guidance when it came to figuring out how to go about making an edit, finding sponsers, following trends and networking. What kind of content are we making? What is the clients brand? How do we ensure the viewer stays entertained throughout the video? What are the sponsors wishes and how do we meet them? After 3 years of trial and error, i managed to figure out many effective and easy ways to deliver the best content. When trying to grow your portfolio, and develop as a film/videographer it's important to have an ever growing network of fellow editors! I have a MSc. in Education, and I am currently a PhD candidate at Leiden University within the Humanities Faculty, as part of the Institute for History - International Studies.
My academic activities include developing special courses in order to prepare students for TOEFL, SAT, ACT, GRE, and GMAT examinations (American standardized tests required to apply to certain universities).
I am also an International Baccalaureate® (IB) and Advanced Placement proctor and tutor for the American School of The Hague.

I have many years of experience teaching English, Spanish, History, Social Studies, Psychology, MS maths and Algebra.

In addition, I have several years of experience with Mindfulness practices within educational settings in order to address procrastination, stress, anxiety, and enhanced cognitive and academic performance.

I specialize in teaching kids and teenagers, TOEFL and SAT preparation. I also teach adults, conversational lessons. I worked at Berlitz for 2 years in Slovakia and became a freelance teacher shortly after.

I have a bachelor’s in Political Science and & International Relations from Oxford Brookes University and will soon complete my masters in Culture Organization Management.

English has become the Lingua Franca of our times. It's a valuable skill to possess, beneficial for everyone. It comes handy in the ever-developing world that we live in and opens doors to many places, also in the mind. Additionally, bilingualism enhances the cognitive skills.

Whether you'd like to improve your speaking skills and break the language barrier or you wish to prepare better for an English exam, I come to an aid.

In 2023, I've obtained a Master degree in Linguistics at the University of Amsterdam. I've achieved the C1+ levels in English, on the CEFR scale. I have 2 years of experience living in London, where I acquired RP (received pronunciation) and 7 years of experience in the International Academia (Amsterdam). My linguistic background gives me the capacity to explain the sounds and various processes of the language, from a perspective many natives do not know. In teaching, I practice the holistic approach. It is my belief that language is for people of every age and education, but I'm aware that everyone deserves a personal approach. In the first session, we always do a needs analysis and become acquainted, to make sure we click as people and will enjoy working away at your personal language goals.

Over the years, my classes, have proven to raise the confidence levels of students. We practice knowledge in English, on 4 levels of proficiency: Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing.

I will focus on your strengths and guide you to how to use those to your advantage in learning. We will elicit your potential. With a little help, I am sure you will achieve the goals you set for yourself.

I am Claudia, an Italian student who studies International Studies in The Hague. I lived in Luxembourg where I attended the European School of Luxembourg II where I studied French, Spanish, English, and Italian as well as Economics for four years. Living in Luxembourg gave me the opportunity to learn and speak many different languages fluently since it is a multicultural country.
