I specialize in teaching English at all levels, including the basic grammar and pronunciation, to conversational English and test preparations. I have 10 years of experience working with students of all ages, from various cultural backgrounds. My lesson plans are customized to your level, and homework is provided after each lesson. I also provide periodic progress reports and offer constructive feedback on your growth as a student.
My goal as a tutor is to challenge you as a student, in a relaxed and enjoyable academic learning environment. I always welcome feedback, as it's important to me that we work together to achieve your language goals.

Dutch is my second language, therefore our lessons will be primarily in English but I can (and will!) explain the concepts in Dutch when needed.

Hi! My name is Atazia (which sounds something like: ah-tay-sea-ah). I am an English native speaker from Canada, and I grew up in a mixed home with two different languages being spoken around the house.
I have always had a knack for reading, writing, communicating and for languages. Having learned other languages at a young age (and Dutch as an adult) sparked my interest for helping others in their language learning journey. I've been lucky enough to teach in various parts of the world, to individuals of all ages and different cultural backgrounds.
I find languages really fun, and therefore I like to make my lessons as enjoyable as possible. My approach to learning is integrated learning - I like to get to know my students and what your interests are, and see how we can integrate that into our lessons. I find it's much easier to learn something if you are somewhat interested in it, or even a little bit passionate about it. I also really like to read and edit papers (honestly, I do), so I am more than happy to help you with writing that essay you've been meaning to get around to completing.
When I'm not tutoring, you can probably find me studying, drinking coffee with friends, wandering around in the forest, taking pictures with my film camera, or heading out to check out some live music.
