My classes will introduce you to the beauty of flowing sequences and how to connect you breath with your movements. I will focus on energizing your body through core strenghth and dynamic flows or more grounding standing series. Explore your body through movement in a light and playful way and improve your flexibility while learning how to use your breath in a healing way.

I'm offering private yoga sessions suitable for one person or small groups.

What I like about teaching:
I'm interested in encouraging people to use their breath in an empowering and healing way. Further to that I like the combination of flowing movements and the cultivation of groundedness both with deep Ujjayi Breath. Through hands-on assists I like to support my
students to get a deeper sensation of the pose and experience the borders of their bodies. In my classes I like to hold space for my students to experiment, discover their strength and to overcome fears.

Afterwards we look at Creativity itself and how those processes of "attention" or "focus" contribute to creativity. We look at the problems as well as solutions. Exercises and Homework are an option. My personal goal is to share the experience of "health, happiness, and harmony in life through yoga" (Swami Niranjanananda's guideline) with others. I firmly believe that yoga is a powerful tool to promote physical and mental well-being, find inner peace, and lead a balanced life. This philosophy flows into my teaching and inspires my students to begin their own journey towards greater well-being and harmony.

After practicing yoga intensively since 2008, both in Satyananda ashrams in Greece and India, as well as daily as a personal sadhana, and initiated in Karma Sannyasa by Swami Satyasangananda Saraswati, my heart has been even more dedicated to the Satyananda system of yoga. My yogic name (Sannyasin) reflects my deep connection to this tradition. My commitment to yoga is also evident in my continuous education. Since 2008, I have been participating in numerous yoga and meditation workshops and seminars in Europe and India. In 2024, I successfully completed my Yoga Alliance training in Vienna, further refining my skills as a yoga teacher. For the past year, I have been teaching yoga privately to adults, gaining valuable experience in imparting yoga practices.

My passion for yoga, coupled with my musical background, allows me to create unique and inspiring yoga classes. My academic career includes a Master's degree in Musicology with a specialization in Music Education, as well as various Bachelor's degrees in Classical Piano, Opera Singing, Music Composition, and Theory. As a flutist and passionate kirtan singer, I bring a special musical touch to the yoga practice. A special advantage is my ability to teach yoga primarily in English and Greek. Hi, I'm Daphne — a passionate yogini, certified RYT 200 since 2016. My background is in Hatha yoga, and these days, I'm deeply immersed in the alignment-focused practice of Iyengar yoga.
I offer online/offline yoga classes that are gentle yet powerful, focusing on precision, posture, and healing.
I’m Austrian, grew up in Japan, and now live in Malta with my two young children. I speak English, German, and Japanese. Daily meditation (Triratna style) is an essential part of my life and deeply influences my teaching. I believe yoga is a journey inward, not a performance.

🌿 My Journey with Yoga
I discovered yoga not once, but twice — each time in a way that transformed my life.

🧭 The First Discovery — Yoga as a Way of Life
In my late twenties, while backpacking through North India, I found myself in Rishikesh —
not knowing it was one of the world’s most sacred places for yoga. There, I trained with inspiring teachers in Hatha and Iyengar yoga,
including Ashish Sharma. I joined a retreat at the Yoga-Gang Centre in Old Rajpur, and for the first time, truly understood yoga as more than physical movement —
it was a philosophical, mindful approach to life.

🩺 The Second Discovery — Yoga as Healing
Years later, after giving birth, I suffered from intense postnatal back pain.
I couldn’t even do basic poses. After seeing a chiropractor, I slowly returned to my mat.
With consistent Iyengar practice, within a few months, my pain was gone.
This experience showed me the therapeutic power of yoga — how it can heal and restore the body from within.

If you would like to go deeper, we can also include banhas, pratyahara, chakra work, hormone yoga, raja yoga, or philosophy in practice with Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras or Hatha Yoga Pradipika. I also hold many courses for pregnant women and can offer you prenatal yoga as well.

The Hoop is a wonderful fitness and dance tool and easy to fall in love with! Moving with it can improve your fitness and strengh, your creative expression, your self esteem and dance skills.
