Through play, children have more capacity to develop linguistic, social, and communication skills, and gain the self-confidence they need. My job is to play with the child while using English vocabulary; as an example, we can play the Zoo game and learn the names of the animals, the noise they make, the food they consume, and where they live in the wild. While we play we can use toys, pictures, songs, videos, and house objects such as fruits and vegetables. We can play inside or outside in a safe environment. I have a program that I developed to help your child learn and have fun at the same time. It consists of games in different themes such as ( Food, Animals, Numbers, Alphabet, Colors, Geography, Nature, Technology, Outfits... ) This program can be discussed and edited by the parent according to their child's needs.

I will introduce myself. My name is Lotte, I am 23 years old and I study Medicine at the VU in Amsterdam. In high school I attended bilingual education and lived for six months in Australia for my education. In addition, I also followed a minor Academic English at the VU. I have also been with my boyfriend, who is from London, for 2 years now. So, enough practice with the English language! During this course I will help you to learn to speak, write, read and listen better English. We mainly do this through assignments that can be made online on a laptop. I will adapt my lesson to the wishes of the child / young person and his / her parents, or the adult I am going to supervise. Using my experience as a student, I first teach the vocabulary that will later be memorized through different exercises, both written and oral. This is how grammar will also be implemented. We will try to liven up the classes with short videos and songs from time to time, as I think they are a good tool to improve oral comprehension. If parents prefer to focus on general school support, we will work on the most difficult subjects, trying to give some time to each one, in a pedagogical and calm way.
