I am a qualified English teacher offering face-to-face and online lessons in Marseille.
Whether you are a beginner or advanced, young or old, want to improve your general English or simply focus on a specific area of the language, I can create a course tailored to your needs that will take you to the next level quickly.
The courses I offer include General English, Business English and Exam English (TOEFL/IELTS). My lessons are based on certified ESL textbooks, but I adapt them to focus on what you want to learn. These can be specific topics - for example, current affairs, hobbies or work - or a particular area of language - such as pronunciation, grammar, conversation or writing. In fact, you decide the program!
About me: I am a 32 year old English speaker from the UK with over eight years of teaching experience. Since obtaining my Cambridge Certified Teaching Certificate in 2011, I have taught a wide range of ages, levels and class sizes in the Netherlands, Indonesia, Turkey, Germany and the United Kingdom. I specialize in teaching pronunciation, grammar and writing. Having given private lessons to several French speakers in my last job in London, I am well placed to understand your needs as a native French speaker.
As a bonus, I am also a journalist and editor-in-chief. This means that whether you need to work on English presentations, need help writing essays, or simply want to improve your conversation skills on current affairs topics, I can work with you to give each area a little more sparkle.
The most important thing for me is that you enjoy learning. I believe in having fun in class and I enjoy learning from my students. Having studied several foreign languages myself, including French, I know how difficult, but also rewarding, learning a language can be.
