I teach both Spanish and English since both are very important and useful languages to know these days. It is important to be able to understand a language and therefore be able to communicate with it at a basic level, both in spoken and written manner. I keep my students engaged and I use material they can relate to and learn quickly from.
You will learn how to focus on your strengths towards the language and how to acquire more vocabulary and practical language use quickly. After a couple of classes you will build the strategies to make what you know something useful and practical. You should notice the difference on the approach, which is focused on what you need to learn more than anything else, that is why you will quickly see that you can actually use the language you know.

I have a laptop and the necessary material. Bring a notebook and pen, or you can just use your phone for practical activities such as listening or recording spoken exercises.

I am an easy-going and enthusiastic teacher. I graduated with a Bachelor in Education 6 years ago and have been teaching since then.
I consider myself a friendly teacher who focuses on what the students need and strengthen their confidence towards their learning goals.
My towards teaching combined with my love to traveling have given me experience and knowledge I blend in with my studies to provide a complete language class considering the cultural experiences relevant to the learning of a language.
On the personal side, I love music, sports and the outdoors. I enjoy going out for a run or a hike every now and then, and I sacredly listen to music every day =)

Opleiding
Five years of studies as a Bachelor in Education with a degree as an English Teacher at Santo Tomas University, Puerto Montt, Chile. Main subjects being English linguistics, grammar, pronunciation. Strategies for teaching English as a second language, psychology of learning and development.
Leservaring
Six years of experience teaching English as a second language in both schools and at University level.
Tutoring experience with young adults, preparing tests and university courses.
Three years of free-lance experience with Spanish - English translation of documents.
