I obtained a Bachelor's degree in English language and literature with a focus on English-Chinese bilingual translation and Business English. Afterwards, I studied and worked in Europe and the US. I am passionate about multiculturalism and have grown more and more interest in my Chinese roots.

Hi there. This is Ju-Ann. I am a native Mandarin Chinese speaker and my English is excellent. I have taught in international schools for nearly 9 years, mostly in Primary School. I was a class teacher teaching various core academic subjects in English. I was also a learning support teacher for students with Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia and other learning difficulties. My students range from early years to teenagers. Born and bred in Mainland China, I have lived in both Asia, Europe and the US. This helps me grow to be an international citizen and a worldly educator.
In addition, I am also a certified Hatha yoga teacher and a kids yoga teacher.
I am experienced with online learning and am happy to have the lesson with you via online platforms, such as Google Classroom, Zoom, Skype, Google Hangouts/Meet, etc.
I believe that important life and study skills, such as good study habits, daily routines, organization, time management, thinking skills and problem solving skills, can be acquired through positive mentorship, explicit and creative instruction, as well as guided quality repeated practice. I believe in the importance of connection between students and teachers. In my teaching practice, I bring fitness, social emotional learning, mindfulness and positive behavior reinforcement into my work with students. I am passionate about supporting students with learning difficulties through coaching and tutoring. I aspire to make a positive impact on the learning and overall well-being of students.

Navigating through a busy day in an English-speaking school for an English-As-Additional-Language learner can be daunting. As a teacher working in English-speaking international schools for nearly 8 years, I am passionate about supporting students with learning difficulties through coaching and tutoring.
