I can teach you any DAW you want to learn, including Ableton Live, Pro Tools, Cubase, Garageband, and Logic Pro, in easy to understand, simple steps. I know that when you open recording software for the first time, it can feel like looking at the controls for a spaceship; how can you ever hope to understand all these numbers, colors and controls?? It feels overwhelming. Don't worry though, it's not as hard as it looks! In fact, it's so intuitive that I guarantee you will engineer your first drum track the very first time we work together!!

My lessons are for anyone who wants to delve into electronic music & sound design.
As an experienced composer, producer and sound designer I specialize in applying my broad knowledge and experience in the field of music & technology. Most successful electronic musicians combine different skills, such as working with music production software and hardware, playing a keyboard, recording and mixing, but also music theory and composition techniques.
Because as an electronic musician you often have to deal with different instruments & other sound sources, my lessons are also very suitable if you want to learn to design your own sounds, not only to make music, but also as sound effects for videos or games, for example.

Just like in my own professional practice, I teach the different aspects of electronic music production:
- sound design ('sound design'), both analogue and digital
- synthesis
- composition techniques
- software for music production, so-called 'DAWs' such as Ableton Live
- hardware, such as modular synthesizers and effect units
- production: recording and mixing of audio
- performance of electronic music

It is also possible to learn more about (Western and non-Western) music theory and the history of (electronic) music.

From my background as a sound designer for games & film, much of me can share knowledge and experience in this.

In principle, my lessons are always adapted to the individual needs, knowledge and skills of the student.

For the youngest, my approach is to introduce them to music and technology in a playful way. For this I use my own collection of musical instruments that I have collected over the years from all over the world, and which I link to technology.

I am Josefien, a Belgian harpist living in Amsterdam. As a master student at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, I offer private harp lessons for young and old. I have experience in teaching and adapt the lessons as much as possible to the wishes of the student.
When you first get acquainted with the harp, we start with the basic techniques linked to simple melodies. Advanced students are also welcome to expand their knowledge of the instrument and work together on new repertoire.

I can help out beginner to intermediate producers. We can start all the way from the beginning or focus on specific topics that you would have questions about. I can teach you to produce tracks in an intuitive way without the use of music theory but can also incorporate the basics of music theory in the lessons. I’m specialised in sound design, playing live sets on stage and developing the identity of artists. It helps me to get intermediates to the next level.

When you want to start with music production you need to work in a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation). I work mainly with Ableton because it's very intuitive and "jammable". It's a great DAW to work in, especially for beginners. Preferably my lessons will be focused on Ableton but I can also work in other DAW's because the fundamentals are mostly the same in all of them.

I am a Greek pianist and keyboard/synth player, and I give lessons of piano and music theory to kids and adults.
I obtained my Classical Piano and Classical Harmony Diploma in Thessaloniki, Greece, and I am currently in the Master's Program (Piano Performance, second subject Music Production) in the HKU Conservatorium, specializing in Contemporary Music and researching about the combination of Piano with Live Electronics. I want to base my lessons on playing the guitar and related instruments in a way that feels mastered and personal.

I therefore want to focus on expression, technique and the aurally malleable nature of the instrument, for example by discussing extended techniques and the use of effect pedals. I want to invite the students to learn to listen carefully to the impact of different playing techniques and audio effects.

During the lessons I want to cover different kinds of music theory, especially in an "applied" way that is valuable to the student. I also want to deal with recording and producing my own work.

Hi! I'm Vivian, I'm 20 years old and I study classical violin at the Conservatory of Utrecht. For my methodology class this year I need to find a student to work with.
I need to give a minimum of 10 lessons this school year, you can expect to have a lesson every week.

Hey! My name is Daan and I am a keyboard player, producer and songwriter and I am happy to teach piano at your home in Amsterdam.

I graduated from the Conservatory of Amsterdam pop department and am also very active in bands (as a keyboardist, singer, guitarist, bassist and drummer) and as a producer/songwriter in various genres.

As a teacher, I am mainly concerned with what the student wants to achieve and what can be gotten out of the student. Do you want to learn that one new song by Billie Eilish, or an advanced piece by Stevie Wonder; I can always help you. The great thing about music is that you can learn and perform it at all kinds of levels. My job is to find the right level for the right student, so that progress can be made at the same time as there is fun during the lessons.

In addition, I find it important that my students not only play the piano, but also understand the music and build up a knowledge of the music theory behind the pieces. This has helped me a lot to quickly make big steps as a musician.
