I am an experienced academic who has been working full time in UK university system for over 20 years. I studied for my Bachelor of Arts and Doctorate at the University of London and I worked on cultural and literary issues, translation and interpretation ever since. My career so far has been at the University of Kent in the UK. Over the years I have taught Spanish and English as foreign languages at all levels; a wide range of content courses (Catalan Culture, Havana and Barcelona, Modern Spanish Theatre, Spanish History, Comparative Literature, Translation, Interpreting, etc.) and I supervised undergraduate and graduate students both in person and online (via Skype, Webex, Microsoft Teams or WhatsApp). I also really enjoy teaching students how to conduct independent research and how to analyse and write academically, and have overseen numerous translation projects, comparative dissertations and doctoral theses.

In our Quran class, we also learn to memorize the Quran through continuous recitation and review, along with the rules of Tajweed, so that students can recite the Quran as the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) did.
