About the course: During this first hour, we discuss to assess your knowledge and your needs. Usually, we also start the course. I have enough experience to adapt quickly. Then, I design the course based on the material used in class, but I vary the examples and exercises to give you clear explanations. I use concrete examples from everyday life: yes, creativity is possible in science, and often information can be rephrased in cool ways! In summary: I adapt to your level, needs, and preferences. And above all, we work at your own pace in a relaxed atmosphere! I work online with Zoom and messenger. The student does the exercises with me or follows the examples on the screen. I share a whiteboard. At the end of the course, I send the pdf of our work. About me: Eleven years of experience in teaching: Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, and other scientific subjects (From 8th grade (Swiss), like 10 years old, (college/ gymnasium), to 1st-year university). I graduated from EPFL in Physics and did my Ph.D. in Physics at the University of Geneva. I have a career in research, and I love teaching. I have also done science popularization, and I am a diving instructor. After traveling for two years, during which I did volunteer work, I became convinced that teaching was my calling. All my students are satisfied with my lessons and have passed their years or have had better grades. I can teach in English, Spanish, Portuguese and French.
