I am offering structured English lessons for children to learn or play-based lessons for children to maintain and practise their English skills. Each lesson can be tailored to your child’s individual needs - whether they are already fluent in English or just beginning to learn :). During the first lesson I will assess your child’s level of English through a range of activities and conversation. This will allow me to gain a better understanding of their level of English and where is best to target. Each following lesson will then have a theme. For beginner speakers this will range from weather, sports, hobbies, colours, shapes, etc and for more advanced speakers writing, comprehension, reading and more complex phrases or English language grammar rules. At the beginning of each lesson we will review the previous lessons topic to ensure it has been retained before moving on to new knowledge. I use a range of resources to support my teaching including PowerPoints, prompt cards, images, bilingual cards and games. I have been teaching children for over 5 years and have a deep understanding of how they learn best and how to ensure progress. Each course will be specifically designed for each child to help target exactly where they are at and the goals they wish to achieve. Since the tutoring is 1:1, we are able to target individual goals. The course plan is always flexible and if there is a certain topic area you would like your child to learn about, we can include this :)
