Having achieved a Distinction in my 120hr TEFL qualification, I have acquired a skillset that will apply students to learn English in a fun, unpressured environment. Within this environment, students will be exposed to new features of my mother language, whilst their own knowledge will be elicited. My lessons are well planned and will often have a small, complementary homework that will re-affirm the knowledge exchanged in the lesson. However, a priority of mine is not to constantly make the student use pen and paper. A range of different exercises from drawing a comic strip to utilizing authentic-English material will be used to contextualize learning in and out of the class. My experiences consists of volunteering for 6months in my home city of Bristol, United Kingdom to a class of students. Furthermore, I have experience of private-tutoring here in Shanghai for the last 2months. I am flexible with time and with number of students in my class. A little about myself, I am a student learning Mandarin! I'd love to meet more Chinese people to practice my knowledge of the Chinese language & culture.
