I like to use different methods to teach French to students. It can be through songs, drama, role play or videos. I also very often use situations close to the student's experience, such as describing places they have been or talking about what they have experienced. At the same time, I teach the grammar rules to the student. I now live in regions where French has been spoken for over 30 years. Personalizing each lesson is very important to me: providing relevant and high-quality content for students, sometimes reinforcing specific grammar points, assessing student interest and engagement based on the lesson's theme and materials, anticipating their questions, and gathering their feedback.
I always begin a first lesson with an introduction and a spontaneous chat with the student to understand their situation, motivations, and goals.
