Piano willen leren, beginner of gevorderd? Ik kan je helpen!

Graag wil ik je leren om piano te leren spelen. Muziek is namelijk een onmisbaar iets in het leven, naar mijn mening.
De lessen zullen in persoon bij mij thuis op locatie zijn (online kan in overleg) en manier van lesgeven zal aangepast worden op kennis, techniek en leeftijd. Ik kan je zowel techniek leren als de fundamenten van muziektheorie.
Uiteraard is het een stuk leuker als je ook gewoon je favoriete stukken kan spelen!
Ik ben van mening dat ontwikkeling van techniek beter beoefend is door dit te leren en toe te passen in daadwerkelijke muziekstukken i.p.v. oefenboeken van bijvoorbeeld Alfred’s pianomethode.

Wat info over mij:

Al vanaf mijn vroege tienerjaren was ik geïnteresseerd in klassieke muziek. Het is een ongelooflijk belangrijk onderdeel van mijn leven.

Mijn privédocenten waren hoofdvakdocente piano en orgel Jelena Bazova van het Tilburgs Conservatorium, Canadees concertpianist Steven Massicotte en Helmonds stadsorganist Jan van de Laar.

Ik beschouw mezelf geen solist, aangezien ik maar een redelijk korte tijd op het conservatorium had gezeten, om daarna weer de ICT im te gaan en mijn concertvleugel te kunnen financieren.

De lessen zullen online zijn voor internationale studenten en persoonlijk (bij voorkeur, geen must) of online.

Ik geef les aan alle leeftijden/niveaus; het is nooit te vroeg of te laat om te beginnen en dit werkveld, vooral met de bekendheid van AI, heeft een enorm potentieel voor je carrière.
Uiteraard pas ik de manier van lesgeven aan op basis van jouw kennisachtergrond en leeftijd.

Mijn werk omvat dagelijks full-stack en Azure/Azure DevOps met de C# .NET-stack, maar deze lessen zijn in de eerste plaats bedoeld om u te helpen uw abstractievaardigheden, de nieuwste technieken, algemene praktijken en, als u een beginner bent, de C#-syntaxis te ontwikkelen. .

De lessen kunnen worden genoemd in tijdsblokken van 1 uur, maar 1,5 of 2 uur heeft de voorkeur omdat 1 uur meestal te kort is om voldoende tijd te bestrijken. Tijdsloten van meer dan 4 uur worden niet gedaan, ook niet indien gewenst, omdat de concentratie van studenten dan doorgaans te veel is gedaald. Het is tenslotte veel nadenken.

Idealiter volg je wekelijks les zodat de kennis goed toegepast kan worden en deze niet vergeten wordt, maar dat is aan jou.

Piano performance & Music therapy
Hello! My name is Celia. I’m from Spain and I’m currently studying Music Therapy at the Rotterdam conservatory.
I recently become a Music Therapy intern at Florence, The Hague.
I obtained my bachelor diploma in piano performance in 2016.
I have performed concerts as a soloist, in duet with other pianists and in bigger ensembles/orchestras.
Since I moved to the Netherlands, I’m also part of a music trio where we perform pop, jazz, arrangements and compositions from our singer. All these experiences together give me for sure a big capacity of working repertoire and understand the different needs of my students as a teacher! 🙂
As I’m in education as a therapist, I also use all my knowledge in combination with Music Therapy skills with all my students and especially with people who demand a different experience during a music lesson.
Music Therapy techniques allow you to play music without any knowledge of theory, so it’s very useful when in the middle of the lesson you need a break or when you just need to connect with yourself, for example. Music Therapy triggers your curiosity 😉

Learn & explore
During more than 10 years of experience as a teacher, I have worked all kind of people: children, adults, people with disabilities, families... I’m quite flexible and able to adapt my way of teaching to the circumstances!
I like to work individually and in groups. Each way has its own advantages!
In my lessons I use all methods I could experiment myself among my piano career; I’m also always open for new knowledge, repertoire and ways of working what my students may propose me. It’s fascinating how I never stop learning new repertoire and music styles thanks to my students!
I try to offer music in a different way for every student according to their needs, with creativity and a relaxed ambience where the student can learn and explore. Each person has his/her own rhythm... which in my opinion is very important to respect.
I also work with music theory, explaining concepts to my students from the pieces we play. I find this way is effective, instructive and much more motivating 🙂
In my lessons, we can work on classical, jazz, pop, arrangements, 4-hands piano music, improvisation and much more!

Happiness
Music needs a bit of commitment. It’s like a plant: a bit of water every day is much better than a lot of water just one day per week! However, every plant is different, and in the end, the important thing is that you feel happy and motivated during your learning process. This is also important for me, so for sure I always try my best to help my students in that aspect. The enjoyment of music (and everything) makes you learn much faster, don’t you think?

Music is Play! and everyone is it's own game.
Read, understand and make only the music you like. I think if it isn't fun, it can't be music:)

I studied a classical piano bachelor, and later a jazz master and a live electronics master. In the meantime, I have been teaching music. It's longer than 9 years now!
Most of my students learn piano. With the starter ones, I use my own system to equally help them grow all the needed skills: body consciousness (to avoid lesions or bad habits), music theory (including writing and reading) and improvisation.
Usually most songs are made of melody, chords and rhythm. From there, I can help you understand how a song works, how is it written, how does it translate to the piano... and voilá! You'll know the song by heart, and will be able to play it a bit different every time, because you won't be following a set of pre-imposed instructions. You will understand how a small system (a song) works.
This way of learning can be applied to any song, from any century or style. Understanding is key! Play Chopin, write rock songs, play Monk, Bill Evans, the Beatles, make a lo-fi beat, play Beethoven, play the Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and Star Wars, play video game music, play salsa! bachata and make people dance, laugh or cry.
Music is very powerful!

PD: I have also experience imparting electronic music lessons in Ableton Live and Max MSP, which is now a very important part of my professional practice. In case you are interested, it is also possible to mix the two worlds and create a any kind of path between piano, synths, beats and home studio techniques.

Hello everyone!

My musical journey began when I was just four years old, starting with the piano. Later, at the age of seven, I eagerly embraced the violin, adding its enchanting melodies to my repertoire.

I achieved a professional mid-grade in both piano and violin. Fueled by my love for music, I moved to Rotterdam, Netherlands, to pursue a Bachelor's degree at Codarts University of Arts. Under the guidance of teachers like Natasha Morozova and Hed Yaron Meyerson, I refined my skills and nurtured my artistic vision.

After completing my Bachelor's studies, I continued my musical exploration in Codarts' Master's program. Alongside my classical training, I've always been intrigued by the therapeutic potential of music. In 2023, I earned certification in Music Therapy, expanding my horizons and deepening my connection to the healing power of music.

In collaboration with my colleagues, I am member of the Olga Trio. Our mission is to highlight the works of women composers throughout history. Our debut performance at the IV Concurso Nacional de Interpretación de Obras de Mujeres Compositoras was a proud moment, affirming our commitment to amplifying diverse voices in music.

Beyond classical music, I've always been drawn to exploring different genres and styles. As a member of the Jong Metropole Orchestra in 2023, I relished the opportunity to collaborate with musicians from diverse backgrounds, pushing the boundaries of traditional musical conventions.

In every note I play and every project I undertake, my passion for music shines through. It's a journey of exploration, growth, and discovery, and I'm excited to continue sharing my love for music with the world.

I've been teaching during the last 8 years. I am flexible with the students needs and I embrace fun and creativity in my lessons.

Op zoek naar een pianoleraar? In Utrecht vind je de vriendelijke Spaanse professionele pianiste Mar. Ze woont in Utrecht en studeert aan het Rotterdamse Codarts Conservatorium, en heeft al een masterdiploma van het Utrechts Conservatorium (met ook pedagogische opleiding)

Ik werk al 12 jaar als piano- en muziekleraar (ik begon heel erg jong, toen ik 14 jaar oud was, omdat ik altijd al graag lesgaf): ik heb ervaring met privélessen en officiële staatsmuziekscholen, met kinderen vanaf 2 jaar en volwassenen van alle niveaus, zowel individueel als in groepen. Ik heb piano, muziek en beweging voor kinderen, muziektheorie, solfège en koor gegeven.

Ik heb mijn bacheloropleiding met de hoogste cijfers afgerond, heb ervaring als concertartiest en heb veel internationale prijzen gewonnen in wedstrijden en ook beurzen.

My name is Abraham, and I’m a third year jazz piano student at Codarts Rotterdam. I have been playing for 14 years, most of which were spent in classical music. I teach all levels and styles (classical, pop, jazz, etc.). It can be with or without theory, depending on what you prefer.
