I hold a PhD in Art and Communication with Photography as my field of specialism and a PGCE teaching certificate in Post Compulsory Education. At the same time I am a practising photographic artist with an interest in abstract photography. I have a comprehensive understanding of contemporary photographic practices and of theoretical approaches to the subject, and also have a strong technical grounding both in traditional and in digital processes. I am experienced in all stages of the development of photographic projects, from early conceptualisation through to printing and exhibiting.I have exhibited nationally and internationally in both solo and group shows. My selection for the Bloomberg New Contemporaries 2008 Exhibition in Liverpool and London is one highlight among them. As an artist and teacher I insist on the highest professional standards and I emphasise clear and direct communication and honesty throughout. I have been teaching photography since 2009. I offer private lessons to photography students and any other individuals who would be interested in 'how to'/technical skills sessions or in developing a photographic body of work and would be in need for some expert advice. After teaching a lot of online dance classes during covid, I feel like the virtual way of teaching is missed by me and a lot of my previous students. My dance classes are based on hiphop foundations, teaching my students fundamental technique through dance moves that build towards routines and choreography. The class helps students to be more active and develop in their confidence without the issues that might arise when dancing in a dance studio amongst others.

Some students find studying for their GCSE Sciences a difficult time, and I would like to help! As someone who struggled themselves at the beginning of their studies, I understand particular techniques that different students will require in order to advance their knowledge. I worked hard to succeed in my GCSE’s, my A-levels, my degree apprenticeship (in Pharmaceutical Analytical Chemistry), and finally my current BSC Environmental Science course.
