English is a difficult but versatile language. In Japan, unfortunately, it is taught like math. English, however, is more flexible than math equations, and should be taught like art. Depending on what you feel, who you are talking to, and what you are talking about, the type of English you use will be completely different. A doctor or teacher will use a different set of vocabulary from a singer or rapper.

I have 12 years experience teaching Japanese students how to express their unique selves in English. I can help you get to your English goal.

I've lived in Japan for 12 years teaching English and exploring Japan. I enjoy teaching motivated students. If you are not really interested in learning and just want a conversation partner, I am probably not the best teacher for you. If you have a goal that you are aiming for, then I am here to assist you.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy photography, visiting new places around Japan, making umeshu, drinking umeshu, watching action movies, and listening to music. I have a 9-year old cat and a Canadian roommate.
