Hi, I'm David, an English teacher and private tutor from London, England. I have eight years of experience teaching English, to both adults and children.
My English lessons are designed to be fun and interesting, building enthusiasm and confidence. The aim is to use creative and interactive activities and exercises to take students on a rewarding journey towards mastering the English language.
Lessons can be online, at the student's home, or in my classroom located in central Sofia.
I am TEFL and TESOL qualified, with 120 hours of training.

I love books, sports, history, geography, and watching films, documentaries, and comedy series. I also love animals and have a pet cat.

I have lived in Sofia for over 5 years now, and have made Bulgaria my home. I am fascinated by the history and geography of the country and have spent a lot of time traveling around Bulgaria, seeing the wonders of nature, and absorbing the culture. Food and music are two of my great hobbies, I have had a great time finding new favourite dishes and listening to and witnessing Bulgarian music, customs, and traditions. From Kukeri, to Baba Marta, and the special celebrations at Easter and Christmas, I have experienced them all with great enthusiasm. Every summer I teach at summer camps, on the Black Sea coast, when I am privileged to experience the idyllic weather and natural environment Bulgaria provides.

I grew up in London, born just a few hundred metres from Big Ben. Growing up, I was a creative and energetic child, very sporty and competitive, with a love for books and computer games. After my studies I went into a career in hospitality, managing a company that helped celebrities, and the rich and famous to travel into London. I met many movie stars and musicians during this time! It was after this that I decided for a change of scenery and came to the Balkans.
