Hi,

I am a third-year UCL Earth Sciences (Geophysics) student who will be "graduating" this summer and is ready to help you learn.

I tutor in Math, most sciences, and French for all ages up to bachelor level. From the age of 16 whilst living with my family in France just across the border from Geneva, Switzerland I have worked teaching all ages. I have had the pleasure of teaching toddlers, children, young adults, and working professionals.
I have tutored children in the French, English, and international systems. I have also tutored professionals who work for NGO's, and until recently, I was the sole teacher for an A-Level Environmental Sciences student.

Whilst understanding that math and science can be considered extremely difficult for some, I am a strong believer that with the right teacher any subject can be made more approachable and successfully mastered with time. For this reason, I like to cater to my classes for each individual student's needs, and my classes only contain one person.

I am specialized (>5 years of experience) in tutoring math for school (any level, but preferably higher level), including competitive exams such as the SAT, GRE, GMAT, and the IIT-JEE.

This class is aimed to train
1) high-school students undergoing VWO or an IB curriculum, who are having problems following math at school or university,
2) Anyone who wishes to take the VWO Math-A/B/C entrance examinations by Boswell or CCVX and wants to train for that.

Personally, I am currently working as a Quantitative Researcher of stock markets, and therefore analytical math is also a part of my job.

The classes could be rigorous or lenient depending on the student. There will be periodic homework and I'll make sure that the student achieves her/his desired goals.

I like to use different methods to teach French to students. It can be through songs, drama, role play or videos. I also very often use situations close to the student's experience, such as describing places they have been or talking about what they have experienced. At the same time, I teach the grammar rules to the student. I now live in regions where French has been spoken for over 30 years. A computer science and applied mathematics engineer (PhD in applied mathematics), I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in mathematics. I have also completed teacher training (agrégation) and taught mathematics at Collège Saint-Pierre (Uccle) as well as in two European Schools, in French.
