Hi, I am a recent school leaver, currently in sixth form/college studying A levels in Biology, Maths and Economics, with an excellent academic record and a strong set of skills which have been acquired through a range of extra-curricular projects. For my GCSE's I achieved three 8's(A*), one 9(A**) and three 7's(A's), with Maths and English both at 8(A*). At the moment, I am looking to tutor kids who need help or tuition at GCSE level or any years below. Previously I have mentored and tutored kids in younger years as well as currently working in a primary school, in helping with homework's, exam practice and how to revise for certain subjects. I offer private mathematics lessons for all levels from secondary school (from first to last year) up to university level (bachelor's degree).

A computer science and applied mathematics engineer (PhD in applied mathematics), I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in mathematics. I have also completed teacher training (agrégation) and taught mathematics at Collège Saint-Pierre (Uccle) as well as in two European Schools, in French.

I have the official certificate allowing me to teach in French. Although I am a native Dutch speaker, I can therefore teach without difficulty in French (and also in English).

My name is Arjen. I give tutoring and exam training in math and physics for upper secondary education (Dutch HAVO/VWO, IB, or other similar programmes). With a completed degree in Aerospace Engineering, I help students not only with solving problems, but especially with understanding the “why” behind the theory.

I start with a short diagnosis: where is the real difficulty? Based on this, I create a personal learning plan that I share with the student. In this way we work in a focused way on those areas where most is to be gained. During the sessions, the focus is on recognizing structure and analyzing problems step by step, so that students become more independent and their confidence gets a boost.
