Hey there! I am Laura and I am a graduate Chemical Engineer working in engineering consultancy company Worley in London. I am currently studying in Hong Business school, so I’m keen to tutor local students.
I am really passionate about Science and I am willing to share my knowledge through tutoring. I worked as an online tutor for more than 4 years in one of the UK's top online tuition websites. During this time, I've delivered more than 1600 lessons and received positive feedback (please see picture below). I have also worked as a self-employed Chemistry & Maths tutor for a year and thought British and international students from all over the world. I have experience with AQA, Edexcel, OCR, WJEC exam boards and IB programme.
In my tutorials, student will be in control of what we cover during the session. We will talk through problems the student is having or questions (s)he wants to ask. I will use a range of different techniques, such as diagrams, summaries, analogies, which will help student memorise concepts easier. Once we looked through the theory, we will try to solve past exam questions. This will let student see the application of theory. I aim to create an environment in which any question can be asked and mistakes can be corrected.

I am Laura and I have 6 years of STEM tutoring experience. I have graduated with Masters in Chemical Engineering from University of Bath at 2020. I am currently working as Process Engineer at Linde.

Besides my extensive tutoring experience, my passion and expertise in science can be proved by my high achievements in Olympiads. I came 3rd at National Chemistry Olympiad for three years in a row and obtained 2nd and 3rd place at National Physics Olympiad. I have also finished 5 country-wide extra-curricular schools focusing on Chemistry, Physics and Math. I am sure I will be able cover anything related to Chemistry, Physics, Maths that you throw at me!
