Latein wird leicht, wenn du weißt, wie du es entschlüsselst. Ich biete dir einen Schlüsselbund. In unserem Unterricht gehe ich individuell auf deine Bedürfnisse ein und gebe dir Tipps, wie du dich schrittweise verbessern kannst. Meine Lehrmethode baut auf Beispielen auf, sodass du schnell das Gelernte anwendest. Schreib mir kurz, wo du dich im Spracherwerb befindest und was du erreichen möchtest.

Zu mir:
Ich habe während meiner Schulzeit einen Altsprachenwettbewerb gewonnen, anschließend in Köln, Oxford und in den USA Latein und Altgriechisch studiert und meinen Doktor in den alten Sprachen abgeschlossen. Seit 15+ Jahren unterrichte ich Schüler/innen und Studierende in Latein und Altgriechisch von der weiterführenden Schule bis zum Ende ihres Studiums. Ich habe an Gymnasien nachmittags Nachhilfekurse angeboten und an Universitäten als Dozentin in Latein und Altgriechisch gearbeitet.

Auf dem Gymnasium habe ich mich in die antiken Sprachen verliebt und anschließend die antiken Schriften und Kulturen von Homer bis in die Spätantike erforscht. Mir hat besonders Gefallen, dass die antike Literatur alle Themen abdeckt – Mythen, Philosophie, Dichtung, Kriege, Politik, Geschichte, Naturwissenschaften...

Das Unterrichten hat mir immer Freude bereitet, besonders wenn ich auf die Interessen meiner Schüler/innen eingehen kann.

About me:
I won an ancient language competition while I was still in school, then studied Latin and ancient Greek in Cologne, Oxford and the USA and completed my PhD in Classical Studies. For 15+ years I have been teaching Latin and ancient Greek to students from secondary school to the end of their university studies. I have offered ancient language instruction at high schools and universities.

In high school I first fell in love with ancient languages and continued by researching ancient writings and cultures from Homer to late antiquity. I particularly like that ancient literature covers all topics - myths, philosophy, poetry, wars, politics, history, science...

I have always enjoyed teaching, especially when I can respond to the interests of my students!

Qualifizierter Lehrer (DEEM, nämlich Sekundarstufe II) für Latein und Griechisch. Ich biete Latein- und Griechischkurse an (alle Niveaus, von der Sekundarstufe I bis zur Universität), unabhängig davon, ob es sich um akademische Unterstützung handelt, die Jahre nachholen, um einen Abschnitt mit Latein/Griechisch zu verbinden oder einen Kurs, der Kenntnisse in Latein/Griechisch erfordert oder einfach um (wieder) in das Studium alter Sprachen einzutauchen.
Darüber hinaus verwende ich regelmäßig Deutsch, sei es in meiner Arbeit als Lehrer oder als Schiedsrichter (sowohl auf dem Spielfeld als auch im Rahmen von Übersetzungen, die ich für swiss unihockey anfertige), und gebe auch gerne Deutschunterricht, sei es als akademische Unterstützung oder zum Beispiel zur Vorbereitung auf ein Sprachdiplom (ich besitze auch das Goethe-Zertifikat C1).
Da die alten Sprachen schließlich eine unbestreitbare Bereicherung für das Studium moderner Sprachen, insbesondere der romanischen Sprachen, darstellen, biete ich auch Unterstützung in Französisch an, insbesondere in Rechtschreibung und Grammatik, natürlich für die Schule, aber auch für Einzelpersonen, die es einfach möchten ihre Rechtschreibung und/oder ihre schriftliche Ausdrucksweise zu verbessern.

Je m'appelle Serdane et je propose des cours de langues anciennes aux élèves du secondaire qui auraient du mal à trouver à développer une méthode de travail qui leur convient. Extravertie et pétillante...et surtout, beaucoup d'humour !

Chacun apprend à sa manière. C'est pourquoi je n'adopte pas une méthode rigide, mais je m'adapte plutôt aux spécificités de chaque élève. J'évalue son niveau, ses points forts, ses éventuelles faiblesses ou retards, et j'ajuste mon cours en conséquence. Ma priorité est de redonner confiance à l'élève : le Latin et le Grec sont accessibles à tous lorsqu'ils sont bien expliqués !

Je crois en l'efficacité des méthodes d'enseignement actives : j'encourage la participation de l'élève au maximum, en le guidant pour qu'il découvre ce qui fonctionne le mieux pour lui. Cela lui permet de poursuivre son apprentissage de manière autonome.

Enfin, je fournis une aide spécifique pour la préparation d'interrogations ou d'examens dans les matières plus complexes.

I assign homework and after I receive it, correct it thoroughly additionally providing a lot of remarks/examples if they are necessary.

During my lessons I use :
- Skype/Whatsapp/Messenger to connect with you,
- Google Docs to keep notes, which you can check at any time and they are yours to keep,
- sketch board me to make mind maps to show connections between ideas, etc.
- books, PPP, word docs, diagrams, pics, etc.

I adore my profession and desire each and every one of my students be satisfied with the lesson. That's why I make sure the atmosphere is stress-free and nice. I also want my lessons to be as effective as possible. Therefore, I make sure they are well-prepared, although they can be altered at any point, should such an opportunity arise. I like explaining things in a variety of ways as well as make use of dictionaries, diagrams, etc. When it comes to students who want to sit an exam, I am very demanding.

An introduction to the basic syntactic and grammatical phenomena of the ancient Greek language. We use texts from the ancient Greek Literature (Ancient Greek History, Tragedies and Myths) as well as the Bible or Byzantine Hymnology in order to better understand the structure and way of thinking of the Greek language. The course is addressed to anyone who either has or doesn't have a knowledge of the Greek language. It is built as a personalized course, based on each student's level, motivation and learning needs.

In this Latin course, I offer "Common Entrance at 13+" training (including scholarship papers) for those students who have studied Latin for one or two years, and would like to revise, do translations and read from fun books such as Minimus or So you really want to learn Latin. Plenty of cultural stories and mythology in the mix, besides battles and august men. A basic understanding of grammar (or willingness to learn) expected. Ideally, students ought to be doing Latin at school and preferably have a second language (a Romance language ideal for securing a higher grade).

Für einen Laien scheint ein Grammatikbuch in einer anderen Sprache geschrieben zu sein, weil die Bedeutung der Wörter unverständlich ist. Ich werde Ihnen die Grammatik auf einfache Weise in vertraute Wörter übersetzen. Mit meinem maßgeschneiderten Unterricht werden Sie Ihren Spracherwerb beschleunigen und das in einem positiven Lernklima.

Sie können einen kompletten Kurs mit regelmäßigen Sitzungen oder Einzelstunden buchen, um eine bestimmtes Problem zu überwinden, wie zum Beispiel die Aussprache oder einen Punkt in der Grammatik.

Das Erlernen einer Fremdsprache ist kein linearer Prozess, bei dem man eine Liste von Wörtern auswendig lernt, und das Sprechen einer Fremdsprache ist keine mündliche Übersetzungsübung.

Es gibt zwei Arten von Ansätzen, um sich Wissen anzueignen:

Wenn Sie gefragt werden, welches Jahr auf 1999 folgt, können Sie sofort mit 2000 antworten, ohne lange nachdenken zu müssen und vor allem ohne jede Zahl einzeln auswendig gelernt zu haben, beginnend mit 1, 2, 3 ... Lernen ist einfach, aber das Verlernen von schlechten Angewohnheiten ist extrem schwierig. Umso wichtiger ist es, so früh wie möglich die richtigen Reflexe zu erlernen.

Mein Angebot richtet sich sowohl an Jugendliche als auch an Erwachsene, die sich ohne zeitraubende Umwege durch unsinnige Schulmethoden solide Grundkenntnisse der lateinischen Sprache aneignen möchten.

Ich biete Einzel- oder Gruppenunterricht für Latein an. Die Methoden basieren auf den Kognitionswissenschaften und insbesondere der vergleichenden Sprachwissenschaft. Mein flexibles Programm kann individuell angepasst werden.

Was mir besonders wichtig ist:

UNE MÉTHODE VIVANTE
Que vous soyez débutants ou plus avancés, je vous ferai progresser en latin ou en grec ancien, que vous apprendrez comme une langue vivante : il ne s'agira pas essentiellement de traduire le latin ou le grec, mais surtout de le parler, de le lire, de l'écrire !

OUBLIEZ VOTRE DICTIONNAIRE
Ce faisant, vous mémoriserez bien plus facilement le vocabulaire et les structures grammaticales qu'avec la méthode classique reposant essentiellement sur la traduction. Vous ne passerez plus votre vie dans le dictionnaire, et à terme, vous lirez vos auteurs favoris à livre ouvert !

LATIN
Je propose essentiellement un cours de latin vivant à partir de la méthode Orberg, plébiscitée par des milliers de latinistes dans le monde. Que vous soyez débutants ou plus avancés, je peux vous accompagner sur les chapitres correspondant à votre niveau de Familia Romana (premier volume) ou de Roma Aeterna (deuxième volume). Il est donc important que vous vous procuriez ce livre.

Si vous souhaitez travailler sur Familia Romana, je vous recommande aussi vivement d'acheter le cahier d'exercices du Vivarium Novum pour consolider votre apprentissage : le volume I pour les chapitres I à XIX, le volume II pour les chapitres XX à XXXIV.

GREC
Pour le grec, nous nous servirons de la méthode Logos. Il appartiendra à l'étudiant de se procurer un exemplaire de ce manuel.

DES COURS À LA CARTE
Je suis cependant à l'écoute des élèves et des étudiants en attente de méthodes plus conventionnelles, notamment dans le cadre de la préparation au baccalauréat, aux concours des grandes écoles, ou encore à l'agrégation. Version, thème, explication de texte ancien : tous ces exercices me sont bien connus pour les avoir pratiqués de longues années.

Il est également envisageable de bâtir un parcours à partir de vos envies (à l'exclusion des textes érotiques et des manuels de magie). Vous souhaitez suivre une méthode plutôt qu'une autre ? Découvrir un auteur particulier ? Dites-le-moi ! Attention cependant à rester réaliste ! On ne s'attaque pas à Xénophon ou à Tite-Live sans un niveau solide.
