I teach bass guitar which is my main instrument of 12 years, to all ages. I have experience mainly teaching it to beginners and intermediates. The classes are structured to cover basics of bass playing in terms of both technique and theory. One may expect to have exercises as weekly assignments. These exercises are weekly put together by me using a variety of bass method books. The weight of music theory, harmony and ear training within what we cover can be rearranged according to the needs and expectations of the student.

The main focus of my method is to show how to best practice. In classes, we do classic homework-feedback correspondence. On the other hand, we search for the type of exercise that suits best for the student's need and technical ability.

I am a concert pianist with a degree in piano and pedagogy from the Zurich Conservatory. I am not only passionate about music but also about teaching, which is my vocation.
I teach all levels and ages and all styles of music. I do not rely on a single method but on several methodological works. This allows me to offer students a greater variety of pieces, especially for beginner levels, and to choose the most suitable piece that will best help the student progress.
I take into consideration my students' musical tastes and arrange their favorite pieces so that they are accessible to them. Music is and should remain a pleasure.
Music theory is only covered when necessary, but it is possible to go into more depth if the student wishes.

My name is Dorelle, and I have been playing the cello and piano since childhood. Teaching has always been an essential part of my journey, alongside my professional career as a cellist in various ensembles and orchestras.

In addition to classical guitar training, I obtained a master's degree in jazz and contemporary music as a performing musician. I have lived in Paris and London, played with fantastic musicians and have been teaching young people and adults in Dutch, French and English for over 25 years.

The style and level of the lessons are of course dependent on the student. One wants to sing and be able to accompany themselves, the other wants to learn to improvise. Blues, rock, funk, soul, fusion, flamenco, hip hop, mambo, reggae, folk, bossa, disco, ska, samba, tango, classical, pop ... no problem, what matters is that you have fun in the to play.

I'll make transcriptions of your favorite music and show you how to play it, teach a solid technique so you can progress and give theory in small steps so you can see how it all fits together.

I teach on location, online or at my home (amplifier + lesson guitar available).

I give piano and music theory lessons, combined or separately. My method is fun and is based on practice and singing, from which come understanding, reading (drawings for young children) and analysis. I work with children from the age of 3 to 4 and without age limit. I emphasize the pleasure of playing, discovering, listening, repeating ... I am Verena and I have a Master's degree In classical double bass (French Bow), as well as a background in studying Electric Bass.
