1. Piano for fun:
This class is designed for those who want to learn piano from beginner to advanced level. The teacher will design fun and engaging lessons for students depending on their ages. Tailoring lesson plans and integrating a wide range of activities and materials to motivate learners. Evaluating college student progress, offering one-on-one help to ensure each college student can understand the materials to develop his/ her skills.

2. Piano for music exams:
This class is for those who want to take part in musical examination (both practical and theoretical) such as Trinity, ABRSM, AMEB or LCM. Students will follow the grade/ level of each exam board. The teacher will design suitable other specific materials for individuals to enhance their necessary skills (sight-reading, performing, aural test and musical knowledge) and developing their musical potential. The teacher will instil a sense of music appreciation and encouraging students to expand their interest.

3. Piano for competitions:
The teacher will figure out the student's potential during the teaching period. The teacher can recommend students to take part in a music competition around the world such as American Protege, Grand Prize Virtuoso, Rising Stars, etc. Assessing student's skills of musical knowledge during the initial meeting and providing appropriate teaching of music theory and instrument instruction. Developing a student's ability and broaden their repertoire as well as their performing experiences on stage.

Also, these kids were invited to participate to the Juilliard School festival, with masterclass and lessons, a fabulous chance and experience that I wish all young pianists could have!

On Sept 1st 2024 three awarded students of mine were invited to perform at The DiMenna Classical Centre of Music in Manhattan, from another American competition, the International Youth Music Competition.

The most important matter that I could write here about is my passion to teach. I've been teaching already for more than 10 years, from kids to adults. I'm a classical pianist, but I am opened to other musical styles. I have over 12 years of teaching experience and I have been working as a Professional Pianist for 7 years now, in 8 different countries (Switzerland, Austria, Iceland, Spain, etc.) and on Luxury Cruise Ships (Worldwide).

I can show you how to have fun with the piano. If you're a beginner, I can take you right from step one and have you playing familiar songs by the 1st or 2nd lesson. If you already have some experience, I can add to it.

My main goal is to help you achieve your goals and prepare the best lesson for you!

I've been playing and studying piano since age 6 (over 25 years ago). I began with classical music, and later added Ragtime, Jazz, Blues, Pop, Rock, and Chord theory.

I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Piano Performance, Classical Music (4 years). I have participated in numerous Piano Masterclasses in Europe, and I studied with great pianists. I still learn from different Highly Accomplished Musicians. I believe learning never stops.

I have much to share with my students.

TEACHING STYLE

I am a very patient teacher. I love teaching all ages. I don't teach everyone the same way. I tailor lessons according to individual goals and needs. I insist on the importance of technique and musicality.

I also guide all my students even outside of the teaching time, by responding to all their questions (music theory or technical) and sending them videos.

I teach how to prevent Piano Injuries by focusing on proper technique, posture, and practice habits.

My professional experience includes coaching students of all levels and ages. I successfully prepared the students for their Piano Exams, like ABRSM, Trinity Grade, from grades 1-8, with merits and distinctions, and more advanced exams as well (Performance Diplomas).

I teach for the Enjoyment of Music as well. I believe you can learn to play the piano at any age. My oldest student is over 75 years old, and my youngest one is 3 years old. They made great progress, and I am sure you could do the same.

I've never met anyone who didn't have musical abilities! You can be a serious or a recreational player. The only requirement is the willingness to spend some time at the piano.

I conduct my lessons using a combination of 4 cameras for optimum visibility, and a quality microphone which my students find very helpful. This allows them to see a very clear visual demonstration alongside my verbal explanation.

I can confidently say that Online Lessons are the same as In-Person Lessons.

CURRICULUM

I do not believe one method works for all students. I have used many different lesson books and resources over the years.

For beginners I like to use Alfred method books for basics concepts and for Classical and Jazz Piano technique I like to use ABRSM books (grade 1-8). If my student feels that they can learn better from another books, I am glad to adapt my teaching strategies to their needs.

Along with the lesson books below, I use a lot of supplemental materials based on the students' interests. I also aim to teach their favorite songs as soon as possible.

I like to clearly explain and demonstrate piano technique. In this way, the students are able to apply the information on similar passages from all genres of music.

I teach online via Zoom, using software which allows you to see the exact keys I'm playing on my keyboard.

My teaching method is to focus on whatever type of music the student loves most, and to build from there. I believe that many people give up their dream of playing an instrument simply because they aren't inspired enough, so my goal is to instill a love for music, whatever that means personally for each individual student.

Everyone learns differently and has their own pace and rhythm. I have some students who like to have a regular weekly or biweekly lesson, and others who just get in touch once in a while when they have digested the previous lesson and feel ready to build on it. Whatever the case, I am very flexible and we can figure out what works best for you.

A bit about me:

Originally honing my skills on the British jazz scene and holding residencies in restaurants and bars around the country, I then went on to tour the world playing on cruise ships, hotels and festivals. I returned to London to complete my master's in jazz piano at the Guildhall School of Music, and during this time performed regularly at Ronnie Scotts, The Vortex and many other venues across the UK. I then spent two years in South America learning about salsa and Cuban music. I now mainly work as a transcriber, writing sheet music for all instruments including full Big Band scores. I have also worked extensively in musical theatre, most recently as musical director for 'Jersey Boys', and on the first US national tour of 'Summer: the Donna Summer Musical'. The video shown below is from my stint playing and directing 'After Midnight', a show set to the music of the Duke Ellington Big Band.

1st Course – Japanese for Children
In this Japanese course for children, students can enjoy learning the language through videos and various fun materials.

The purpose of this course is to help children who love anime, Japanese culture, or Japanese food, as well as children who struggle with reading and writing, have difficulty speaking, or face learning challenges.
Through Japanese, they can discover the joy of learning and gradually overcome their weaknesses.
The course is also useful for families who plan to travel to Japan for work or sightseeing.

1er cours – Japonais pour enfants
Dans ce cours de japonais destiné aux enfants, les élèves peuvent apprendre la langue en s’amusant grâce à des vidéos et à divers supports ludiques.

L’objectif de ce cours est d’aider les enfants qui aiment les anime, la culture japonaise ou la cuisine japonaise, ainsi que ceux qui ont des difficultés en lecture et en écriture, qui manquent d’aisance à l’oral ou qui rencontrent des défis d’apprentissage.
À travers l’apprentissage du japonais, ils peuvent découvrir le plaisir d’apprendre et surmonter progressivement leurs difficultés.
Ce cours est également utile pour les familles qui prévoient de voyager au Japon pour le travail ou le tourisme.

2nd Course – Japanese for Students, Travelers, and Manga Fans
This course is designed for students, people preparing to study abroad in Japan, travelers, and manga lovers.
We start with the basics and can move on to more advanced content depending on each learner’s ability.
You will learn essential phrases, conversation skills, and grammar needed for daily life in Japan.
Lessons are enjoyable and tailored carefully to each individual’s level and learning style.
I have a variety of learning materials, and we use the ones that best suit each child.

2e cours – Japonais pour étudiants, voyageurs et amateurs de manga
Ce cours s’adresse aux étudiants, aux personnes qui se préparent à étudier au Japon, aux voyageurs et aux passionnés de manga.
Nous commençons par les bases et pouvons progresser vers des contenus plus avancés selon les capacités de chaque apprenant.
Vous apprendrez les phrases essentielles, les compétences de conversation et la grammaire nécessaires à la vie quotidienne au Japon.
Les leçons sont agréables et soigneusement adaptées au niveau et au style d’apprentissage de chacun.
Je dispose d’une grande variété de supports pédagogiques et j’utilise ceux qui conviennent le mieux à chaque élève.

The third course is a JLPT preparation course.
It covers all levels from JLPT N5 to N1All levels and is designed to help students pass the exam.
In addition to test preparation, there is also a conversation‐focused course where students learn JLPT grammar while practicing speaking.

3e cours – Préparation au JLPT
Le troisième cours est un cours de préparation au JLPT.
Il couvre tous les niveaux, du JLPT N5 au N1, et il est conçu pour aider les étudiants à réussir l’examen.
En plus de la préparation au test, il existe également un cours axé sur la conversation, dans lequel les élèves apprennent la grammaire du JLPT tout en pratiquant l’expression orale.
