Complete beginner level / no prior experience is absolutely fine. My class would also be beneficial for current GCSE / A-Level (or other equivalent) modern language students as I am familiar with the style and content of these exams. Happy to meet any requirements whether it be grammar, vocabulary, speaking, listening, pronunciation, useful study techniques etc. I have GCSE in Spanish, French and Italian and A-Level in Spanish and French. I am currently a university student and my degree is Triple Modern Languages. I Study Spanish and French at Intermediate-Advanced level and Italian at elementary level.

I am a 21 year old student currently studying Modern Languages at University. I have loved learning languages for as long as I can remember. A goal of mine has always been to live abroad, therefore it is so important for me that I am able to communicate with as many people as possible wherever I travel. If solo travel is something you’re interested in, I find it gives you a lot of independence when you don’t have to rely on anyone to help you communicate or worry about a language barrier. You can make anywhere feel like home! Aside from just translation, languages have given me a massive insight into different cultures. I was born in Istanbul in 1983. I started teaching Turkish while studying Turkish Language and Literature at university. I worked in a language school and at universities. I have been teaching Turkish professionally for more than 16 years. I also taught Turkish for 5 years when I was a university student. In 2018, I obtained a TESOL certificate and also began teaching English.

I teach both adults and children. Creating a comfortable learning environment for my students is one of my top priorities. If you would like to learn Turkish or English in a consistent and structured way, I would be happy to work with you.

I hold firmly to two main principles: creating a comfortable space for learning and building an encouraging atmosphere.

Even though I use a communicative approach, my lessons are supported by a solid understanding of grammar, as Turkish has a very different structure.

I use the course book set prepared by Istanbul University. It follows a strategic approach to learning Turkish and includes all language skills—reading, grammar, writing, listening, watching, and speaking—from A1 to C2. All of these skills are essential for conversation.

I teach English for the A1 and A2 levels.

The workbook offers many exercises for homework or revision, and I support the book with my own authentic materials. I also use an interactive board that you can view anytime, and you can edit it as well. Repetition-based speaking practice plays an important role in my lessons.

I speak English well, and a bit of Italian, and I have also studied Persian and German grammar. I am interested in literature.

To the uninitiated, a grammar book seems to be written in another language because the meaning of the words is incomprehensible. In a down-to-earth way, I'll translate the grammar into familiar words. With my tailor-made teaching you will accelerate your learning while having a positive mindset.

You can book a complete course with regular sessions or individual lessons to overcome a specific problem, such as pronunciation or a particular point in grammar.

Learning a foreign language is not a linear process that consists of memorising a list of words, and speaking a foreign language is not an oral translation exercise.

There are two types of approaches to acquiring knowledge:

When asked what year follows 1999, you can immediately answer 2000 without having to think for a long time and, above all, without having memorised each number individually, starting with 1, 2, 3 ... You know that numbers are formed according to a certain pattern. With only ten digits, you can form an infinite number of numbers and always know which number comes next.
