I'm a native English language speaker, who currently works for a language school in Brussels. I like to make all my lessons focus on the actual speaking, themsot important part of any language. It doesn't matter how well you can write English if you can't express yourself vocally!

My goal is to evaluate your level, and then design tailor made lessons to improve your speaking confidence and your ability to hold conversations in English. I hope my lessons are fun, interesting and the right level of challenge.

This course is fitted individually, depending on the needs of the student.

If the student would like to focus on grammar then the material should be sent beforehand so I can have a chance to look at it and prepare for any questions that may arise.

If the student would like to focus on spelling and/or spoken English then no material should be sent beforehand, just an overview of the request.

If the student would like to focus on reading I'll supply the materials depending on their level.

As for math, I only teach high school students and first year University students. The material for the class should be sent to me beforehand so I can be better prepared to answer any questions.

I specialize in English, Dutch, Spanish and French classes for students from beginners level to advanced. We will work on the objective you want to reach in the language you want to learn with several efficient methods.

Some objectives could be: Preparation for an exam, writing of an article,homework, vocabulary and understanding upgrade, oral training, presentation training and so on.

We will work with language barrier, fears, the feeling of "understanding, but not talking".

It will be an easy-going class with elaborated communicative tools tailored individually. By default, the class incorporates grammar, pronunciation, style distinction.

I have had the opportunity to work with teenagers for 5 years now as a student associate in a science center, as a mentor and a lecturer in a different field. What I have learned from that experience is that first and foremost one must become a friend with their student, to understand their needs and their attitudes. I will do my best to make the classes fun by combining audio and visual material in my teaching. My field of study is Social and Cultural Anthropology.

I am a Belgian student, currently, I'm in my first master's year at the KULeuven. I chose a master's in 'Rehabilitation sciences and physiotherapy specialization musculoskeletal disorders'. During my bachelor years, I developed a very good basic knowledge of science subjects and mathematics: I studied statistics for 3 years, molecular cell biology, chemistry, physics, biomechanics, biochemistry and anatomy.
The quality of teaching of both the University of Leuven as the high school I went to (Heilig Hartcollege Tervuren) is something I am very happy/thankful for. I would love to share the education and the knowledge I acquired by supporting and teaching you or your child/teen. I would consider it as a sort of study pathway counseling. As I already have a bachelor's degree in one of the highest-ranked universities in Europe, I have a broad knowledge of quite some subjects.

I have a lot of experience working with children and teenagers, I have been a leader in a Scout for children aged 12 to 18. I have also been a tutor for 5 years now. I love working with other people as I am a very social, empathic, and motivated person.

I obtained a BA degree in English Language and Literature, as well as an English MA degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology at KU Leuven. This academic background has laid the foundation for my theoretical knowledge of the English language, especially my reading and writing skills. Additionally, I spent a semester in Dublin in order to improve my 'hands-on' speaking skills. I have a genuine passion for the English language which I hope to pass on to my students.

For my classes, I sit down with students to discuss their needs, and attune my course content accordingly. I try to combine theory with practice to keep the classes interesting and lively. Listening and reading skills are especially important in the learning process as they are essential elements to developing an intuitive sense of a language. Furthermore, I attempt to incorporate audiovisual material in order to keep the course content engaging. I am also always happy to discuss and/or lend English books, graphic novels, podcasts, films, music, YouTube clips etc with/to my students.

This class is taught using the Oxford method and handbooks.
