My name is Chris and I can help you achieve your English language learning goals. Can you already speak English but want to improve? If so, my classes could work for you.

I run classes that have a strong focus on spoken conversational English. Classes are usually based around a topic, from which we will have conversations in English. These topics can be tailored to areas that you want to improve. These sessions aim to help you:

- Improve you Speaking Skills
- Develop fluid Conversation skills
- Improve your listening skills
- Learn new and specific words
- Get better at pronouncing

My name is Chris and I am originally from the UK.

I have experience working with adults and children as a teacher. My approach to teaching languages is to focus on spoken word and conversations, with the aim of improving spoken fluency.

I have been living permanently in Finland since November 2016. During this time I developed a keen interest in Finnish culture and its language. My Finnish spoken level is around a B2, and I am currently studying on an intensive course. I have a passion for languages, and I would like to be able to help you reach your language goals in English.

I have a wilderness guiding qualification also, and I have worked 2 winters up in Lapland as a Husky Guide, and 2 summers in Helsinki - one in a bar and the other as a kayaking guide.

With over 3 years of teaching experience, a CPE certificate, and CELTA training in progress, I focus on helping learners gain confidence in both conversation and academic communication. We’ll work on speaking, listening, grammar, vocabulary, and writing, using real-life topics and texts.

Before I began writing professionally, I spent over three years traveling across Europe, which gave me a deep understanding of how English functions in real-world, multicultural settings. Now, as a writer working on a book and articles, and with a background in philosophy and literature, I bring global perspective, depth, and creativity to our lessons.
