This course is for anyone that's interested to play the saxophone at any level, from the very beginners to students interested in more advanced topics such as improvisation, both in unconventional ways or more founded on the tradition of Jazz.
The course will be adapted to the pupils goals and level, with a demanding but not overpowering approach. The frequency and timing of the lessons can also be optimized to the pupil's necessities: weekly, bi-weekly or monthly (not less).
I believe that the main goal of a mentor should ultimately to make the pupil become his own teacher and establish an empathic two-way learning process.

Professional singer holding a Master Degree in vocal jazz and a Post-Master Teaching Degree at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels gives private singing lessons open to all ages and all levels.
I am specialized in jazz, but I am open to different genres from salsa to pop music. My goal is to keep my students challenged, but not overwhelmed. If you are an absolute beginner, don't worry, no previous experience is required nor reading music. The course lasts one hour, generally about 30 minutes of technique (it depends on the level and the need according to each person) then 30 minutes of interpretive singing. I have 15 years of experience as a professional musician with more than 40 recorded albums and concerts around the world. I have played many different musical styles and have a formal education: Bachelor in Jazz percussion at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, NL. My lessons focus on a complete basis (technique, "sound", tempo, vocabulary of the music) to be able to play different musical styles. Depending on the wishes of the student, however, the lesson may be more specific.

My name is Carmen and I am an opera singer. I studied at the PI Chaykovsky Conservatory in Moscow and the famous Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome. I attended many masterclasses in Russia, Italy and Austria with Edda Moser, Renata Scotto, Nino Machaidze etc. I was also a soloist in the Vatican Choir.

Harmony, melody and rhythm is what music is made of. That's all. Those three things. Although sometimes these things can be hard to distinguish. Feeling music is a completely different story though and is not something you can measure or maybe even define.

With understanding the basics or more profound structures in music you might find a new dimension with the feeling and appreciation you have for the sounds that you love.

Answers, exercises, solutions. We can find them together in a quest to find your questions about eartraining and jazzpiano. We can work on fingerings with exercises in partition, specific voicings, left- and right hand coördination, eartraining exercises from beginner up to conservatory level and more specific issues.

I studied three years jazzpiano at the Lemmens Conservatory in Leuven, Belgium and played keys in a pop/funk band based in Brussels for about the same amount of time.
Now i work in construction but still play piano everyday because music is beautiful!

My name is Francisco, I am an Argentinian guitarist currently living in Brussels. I am finishing my studies at the conservatory (KCB), but I have been playing for most of my life and teaching privately and in music academics for a few years already.
Although my main focus musically is in jazz and improvisation in general, I am also into funk, blues, rock, pop, indie and folk.

I would define my teaching style as flexible, in the sense that I believe in building a programme together with each of my students, in the which his or her specific musical interests are covered and the same time, diving into and developing the areas which I consider fundamental, regardless of the musical style or genre: rhythm and time feel, sound, technique, posture and fretboard knowledge.

You want to:
- Feel comfortable accompanying and improvising in the different styles you enjoy.
- Build a repertoire of folk, blues pop, classical, bossa or jazz standards.
- Use music theory to develop your ear and creativity so you can play and communicate more easily with your musician friends.
- Develop your technique and optimal posture with the help of the F.M. Alexander Technique.

In practice:
Lessons take place in my home studio in Rixensart. I can also give lessons online, but I prefer face-to-face lessons so that I can easily guide the student and clearly hear (and see) all the nuances of what is being played. I mainly use the interactive music notation platform soundslice.com to share my scores. The scores, tablature and guitar methods are synchronised with the original tracks or learning videos, either tailor-made or from great masters and available on YouTube. It is possible to loop sections, slow down passages as desired, gradually speed up, keep a practice calendar to see when you have worked and motivate yourself to move forward. It really is a learning tool that I wish I had had when I was younger. ;-)

I also encourage everyone to get a small keyboard so they can practice harmony in a practical way on the piano, which allows them to break out of their guitar habits and become better musicians with a multidisciplinary understanding of music.
