Hello everyone! My name is Sofia and I’m violin master at Gent Conservatorium. I have experience playing in Arte-Amanti festival, Amaj and Querchetto orchestras, solo projects etc. Also I have taught for 3 years in Russian music centrum. So I prepared to work with enthusiastic students of all ages.

Violin course
In my program you can learn basic/intermediate/advanced violin techniques and what is difference between performing barok, romantic, film and folk music. How to play ensembles, solo with CD treks and how to write down/read score of music which you like*

Music theory course

This course affords learn fluently read notes in different keys, improving your hearing, intonation and rythm, interval and chords interaction, tonality relations, harmony logic and ability to write down score of music which you just heard.

Extra informatie

The student should have his/her own instrument.

If necessary, I can teach in Conservatorium.

A few years ago I founded the “Mezzo Institute for Music” in Ledeberg, Ghent.

Do you want to make your dream of becoming a violinist come true?

We teach violin to people of all ages and levels.

Beginning violinists learn to develop their musical talents step by step, while advanced players hone their skills by taking on new challenges.

With us you will receive pleasant and varied violin lessons, always adapted to your personal wishes and possibilities.

Children aged 7 and older are introduced to the instrument in a playful way and learn to play their first pieces through simple songs and clapping games.

Students who are a little older are introduced to the secret language of music and learn the solfeggio they need for the pieces while doing so.

My name is Jasper and besides guitar lessons I also give private lessons in solfège!

For me it is important that you can develop your music knowledge in a motivating private lesson where the focus is on your interests.

In these lessons we can go through all the principles of music theory, from learning to read your first notes to chord theory to scales and beyond.
The lessons are for students of all ages and all levels.

Tailor-made cello lessons for all ages and levels!

I studied at the conservatories of Antwerp and Ghent and obtained my master's degree as a performing musician and my diploma in specific teacher training. In addition to experience as a performing musician, I am also active as a teacher of solfège and cello. I have experience as a teacher with children and adults.

Would you like to learn to play the cello? Or would you like to improve your technique? Be sure to send me a message and we will make a schedule based on your wishes, agenda and interests! Being able to read notes is not a must, we can also tackle this during the lessons.

Emmanuel's methodology:
Only private lessons of at least 1.5 hours long. You only pay for an hour, but you stay longer until you know the techniques.
Lessons can be given on a short or long basis, depending on the intended purpose.
Stand-alone lessons are also possible, if necessary this lesson is divided over 2 consecutive days.

Clarinet lessons at all levels: from absolute beginners to advanced players.
For me as a teacher it is very important to start from the wishes, needs and competences of the student himself.
You can follow lessons via webcam, or at your home near the Ghent - Kortrijk region.

Today - after completing an extensive selection procedure - Laurens is professionally active as a clarinetist with the Royal Marine Band, one of the prestigious orchestras of the Belgian army.

In addition to his education at the Royal Conservatory of Ghent, Laurens has had the opportunity to learn several times in a number of masterclasses by, among others, Arno Piters (Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra), Davide Lattuada (Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra), Bart de Karter (New Amsterdam Clarinet Quartet), Pascal Moragues (Orchester de Paris), Ricardo Mataredonna (The La Monnaie Theatre), David Van Maele (Royal Music Chapel of the Guides), Bart Watté (Royal Music Chapel of the Guides) etc.

Both as a freelancer and an active member, Laurens has played in various orchestras, such as the Royal Band of the Belgian Air Force, Frascati Symphonic, the Euregio Youth Orchestra, the Mahler Student Festival Orchestra, La Chapelle Sauvage, Flanders Young Symphony Orchestra, the Ghent University Symphony Orchestra, the Ghent University Harmony Orchestra...

Since 2021, Laurens has been a member of the Meraki Wind Quintet, with which he has already successfully participated in a number of competitions, including the IMC International Music Competition 2023 (1er Prix à l'unanimité), the Euterpe Music Awards 2022 (gold prize), the Classic Pure Vienna International Music Competition 2022 (special mention), and the Fanny Mendelssohn International Online Competition 2022/23 (second prize).

In addition, Laurens is also active as a conductor, both in a symphonic and harmonic orchestra. At the age of 16 I was accepted in the Exceptional Young Talent program at the Vienna Konservatorium Budapest, after studying for 4 years and finishing the program, I moved to Belgium and I obtained my Bachelor at Royal Conservatory of Ghent and I’m pursuing my career here ever since, I have won International Piano Competitions, I have played solo concerts in Paris, Poland, Budapest, Vienna, Mallorca.
I teach with different methods depending the person’s age, and personality.
