I am a professional contrabassist graduated with distinction from the Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne (HEMU) and holding a bachelor degree from Yong Siew Toh Conservatory in National University of Singapore under full scholarship.

I have had a lot of experience teaching privately in Switzerland, Singapore, and South Korea. I can help my students find good musical content and adapt the lessons to each student's needs and wishes.

Plus, you can practice your English and Korean at the same time!

I started playing the piano and violin at the age of 5 in South Korea.
I've always had a great passion for classical music because I feel it communicates emotions more profoundly than any other method of communication, so I decided to reach a professional level.
I have been invited to have many global experiences in teaching and in music-making, covering many countries across Asia and Europe.
I would love to share my musical knowledge from these experiences with my students.

I hold a Master in Classical Violin Pedagogy, issued by the Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne and I offer violin lessons for all ages and for all levels! Different styles of music possible: classical, klezmer, jazz, Irish, pop music, covers of all kinds, improvisation, etc. I also have a second Masters in improvisation and composition from the Lucerne Conservatory of Music.

My name is Thomas and I am a young guitarist motivated and anxious to transmit my love of music, always with pleasure and good humor!

Here is some information about my background:

After obtaining my license in musicology from the University Lumière Lyon 2 and my DEM in classical guitar from the Conservatory of Lyon, I continued my studies at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Genève where I validated my master's degree in interpreter then, last year, a master's degree in pedagogy.

I have been teaching for many years, the practice of teaching having always occupied a central place in my philosophy as a musician.

I am as comfortable with perfect beginners wanting to discover the instrument as with confirmed students who would seek to prepare for the entrance exams to higher conservatories, universities and higher education centers.

In addition to playing the guitar, I complete the lessons with notions of musical culture, a minimum of music theory, historical landmarks and funny anecdotes.

The course of the course, being by nature personalized for each student, is not immutable.
However, a standard one-hour course is usually organized like this:

- Beginning of the course (discussion, tuning, warm-up ...)
- Work of this week's track
- Choice and deciphering of a new piece, presentation of the composer, explanations ...

I offer cello lessons for children from 4 years old, for teenagers and for adults, whatever their level.

With 10 years of experience in teaching cello, I adapt to the specific objectives of each student. One of my main educational objectives is to awaken and nourish the pleasure of playing music while ensuring structured learning.

I taught cello for 6 years at the Geneva Conservatory of Music and 5 years at the Vincent-d'Indy Music School in Montreal and I am committed to creating a learning environment where pleasure and musical progression go hand in hand, whether you are a beginner or already have some practice.
