I teach Cello from complete beginners to advanced level, including music school auditions. I studied bachelor and master in cello performance at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in England where I received distinction. I perform professionally as a soloist and orchestral player and have been teaching cello for 8 years. I have 5 years experience teaching cello in the UK school system, and my students achieved 100% success in ABRSM exams.

I can also teach music theory for ABRSM exams.

I teach in English and French.

I am a passionate teacher who loves to share my knowledge of the cello and music with students.

I worked as a cellist and teacher in the UK for 8 years but have moved to Montreux to set up my class in Vaud.

I believe in setting up strong technical foundations and great posture from the beginning and can cater lesson to what each student wants or needs.

I graduated from the National Conservatory of the Region of Boulogne-Billancourt (Paris), the Conservatory of Music of Málaga in Spain and the HEM of Geneva (Master of Interpretation and Master in Music Pedagogy).

I offer cello lessons for children and adults:

- Adaptation to the needs and desires of the student. (current music, duets, classical music, baroque, chamber music ...)

- Work of the posture (search of the right gesture which allows to carry out the action without being hurt), progressive and motivating method.

- Flexibility to your desires directory, and helps you with music theory if necessary.

- Courses available in French, English and Spanish.

Hi, I'm Laura, I'm a cellist and I love to share my musical knowledge with other people.
I have experience with students of all ages and I believe that there is no right age to start learning to play an instrument.
I adapt my lessons to the objectives and tastes of each student. We can learn classical music, but also other styles such as pop.
