Hi there!

My name is Matteo and I was born and raised in Milan. I'd be happy to help you learn Italian and/or become fluent in it having friendly conversations about any topic you'd like and others suggested by me. In case you're you are preparing for a trip, we could also imagine some real-life situations while getting around in the city!

Together, we'll work on your speaking, writing and reading skills, I'll also help you with grammar and syntax rules, and I'd love to share my love for literature discussing about books you'd like to read in original language!

I previously studied in Switzerland and in my home town, where I attended the so called "Classical Lyceum" and, by passion next to my music studies, the Modern Humanities Faculty at the University of Milan.

Hi there!

My name is Matteo and I'm a Master student in Composition at the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp.

I'd be very happy to help you if you want to deepen music writing, and/or with any theory doubts you might have! Just ti say a little about myself, before arriving in Belgium I did my Composition Bachelor in Switzerland, at the Bern Academy of the Arts, with Simon Steen-Andersen, and I also studied Violin in Milan, my home town.

I also had masterclasses with the following composers: Georg Friedrich Haas, Paul Clift, Stefano Gervasoni, Matthew Shlomowitz, Trond Reinholdtsen, Eva Reiter, Giorgio Colombo Taccani, Dmitri Kourliandski, Pierre Jodlowski, Stefan Prins.

Have you ever been worried that your accent isn't good enough, or that you may be mispronouncing things, or you just want practice speaking? Well, I can help you out! As a native English speaker and near native Italian speaker, I can help you from the basics, to helping you correct university level papers, and to just sitting down and having a chat with you!
I have had past experience with tutoring and am flexible towards what my students want. If you're looking for someone to give you weekly homework, and to teach you grammar and vocabulary then I can do just that (with an entertaining, laidback feel to it). I don't want learning a language to feel like a chore, or a burden, therefore I put a lot of effort in making my classes interesting, new, and fun to ensure you take the most out of it.

My goal is to guide and help the students grasp a high level of understanding in the basics of English language skills, ESL, and Italian.
Moreover, I aim, with the students, to achieve a more advanced level for the students in speaking, reading, and understanding. I can assure flexibility in my lessons. If students find they already know something quite well, I will not dwell on such topics too long and will move on to other topics that are new to them, or of interest. My goal is to provide a focused session in which the student is really the center of attention, where all their needs are met.

Hi! My name is Francesco and I’ve been living in Belgium since 2018. I come from a small town in Liguria, in northern Italy, and I am currently finishing a PhD in philosophy. For several years now, I’ve been giving private lessons to people who want to learn Italian for professional reasons or simply for pleasure. I have also taught two courses at an evening school in Flanders: a traditional course focused on grammar and vocabulary, and a conversation course for more advanced students. Depending on your level, we can organize the lessons as a conversation course, to develop your speaking and listening skills, and when necessary, we can focus more specifically on grammar and sentence structure. In my classes you learn Spanish at your own pace and with flexible hours. At school you learn Spanish and when you speak to the people themselves it is completely different.
Spanish is my mother language so I can teach you correct Spanish and also prepare you to communicate with Spanish speaking people.

My goal is that you feel comfortable and speak the language confidently.

I also offer classes for children in Spanish. Sometimes it can be difficult to keep up with a second language and I definitely want to help them with that.

I also speak perfect Dutch and English so if you wish to speak 1 of these languages I can teach you that to.

Professional actor and tenor singer who studied drama in Paris at the Cours Jean-Laurent Cochet and Fabrice Luchini, offers his services in particular a real old-fashioned theater course with the technique DE LA FABLE DE Jean De La Fontaine and the study of classical texts in order to obtain a beautiful phrasing in sensitive eloquence.

My course is based mainly on the classic, the regular study of the texts is very important and improvisation also takes a prominent place for the acquisition of know-how, an essential skill in the profession of public speaking. The purpose of this class is to get you (back to) writing. It doesn't matter if you're stuck or just getting started.

With simple generative writing prompts and exercises, I'll help you overcome your fear of the blank page and start writing. My goal is to help you "rest on the page" and get into a state of flow through techniques like freewriting, list-making, and word associations.

You can also receive individual feedback and support on your current or upcoming writing projects, along with helpful exercises that you can do at home, which we can then discuss.

The class can be taught in either English or Dutch.

Ilona (1992) lives and works in Brussels as a writer, poet, and photographer. Her work examines the fragile architecture of being human, paying particular attention to what hides at the edges of existence, in the shadow of shame. With a background in English literature, linguistics, and political science, she has worked as a writer and copywriter for a decade. Newspaper De Morgen praised her debut novel Donkerkiemer (Pelckmans Publishers, 2023) as ‘particularly cleverly composed' and 'psychologically and philosophically profound’. Themes such as ritual, memory, and loss, as well as a gentle rebellion against prevailing norms and systems, are central to her work. She is currently working on a second novel.
